Beaches Chalets

Basic property. In need of work doing. Not spotlessly clean. Had to wipe down table and chairs as they had not been cleaned. Fridge was dated and not very cold though the beds are comfortable and clean and towels clean and fresh. Difficult to sleep as too warm to close windows but left open the seagulls and birds kept u awake 😀 not a great deal to do there but we spent most time away out and about. Basic enough to sleep in and chill for couple hours before bed. Chalets are definitely in need of a facelift. Staff at hotel (across the road)lovely and friendly.

Location, close to the beach. Coastal walks, lots of dog friendly beaches and areas. Bed was comfy.

Kitchenette was poorly equipped, faulty kettle (which was replaced as soon as we informed the staff). No clear instructions to use the hot plate, no fire extinguisher in the kitchen. Nor any evacuation instructions displayed in the room. Poorly fitting Front door. Had to be slammed shut to be secure. Lack of plug sockets in second bedroom (as in none). Metal staircase at the end of the block of chalets didn't have any lighting at night. Poorly maintained grounds. We only had 2 nights, wouldn't chose to stay any longer. The chalets over looked the old Poyntins site, which was nostalgic but sad as the site looked scruffy. Damaged and Unsecured. The Beaches Hotel was lovely, having to check in and had a drink in the bar. But it's clearly there. Where all the investment has been made.

The pictures are old as confirmed by staff! Looks nothing likes this and the chalet was terrible! Full of mismatched furniture. The windows hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. No air con. Bathroom window was nailed shut! Abandoned Pontins right behind you! Just awful!

A lot. Very dated and worn interior and didn’t match the images, cutlery well used and stained, didn’t feel well treated from staff, sour milk, broke bin, not on beach front, WiFi didn’t reach ‘chalet’, dirty walls and under bed, dust and fluff in cracks everywhere, old ketchup on kitchen cupboards, sharp screw sticking out of bathroom window and more…. Very unhappy with this stay. Not a family room in my opinion.

Perfect location. The staff, particularly Julie, were incredibly helpful and friendly. When we arrived we realised I hadn’t specified ground floor for my elderly mum but they reorganised and made sure that we not only had ground floor but also no bunkbeds. We will definitely be back!

The only thing that is a slight drawback is the two night minimum stay.
