The Capitol Hotel Sydney

Great location, the only reason for not giving an excellent rating was the age of the facility and the room we had was very small. The room was clean, it was quiet. It was right next door to the Capitol Theatre which was fabulous. We would stay here again if we were down for a night to watch a show.

So close to everything. Went for the theatre and was just outside! Would stay there again.

Great location!!! A posh hotel with no frills. Everything you need, nothing you dont. Rooms are small...if you're travelling with a companion, I recommend going for the larger room. Highly recommend this hotel!!!

A funky little place with everything at its door. Room was small, but had everything we needed for a 1 night stay.

Uncomfortable pillows, small rooms, no tissues etc in room. Did not feel like a 4 star hotel.

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful on arrival

The hotel is a great location for the theatre and light rail. You have to buzz to enter the hotel on arrival and if no one is on reception you can be left standing outside for a while like we were. The room was compact, the beds were comfy and the bathroom lovely. However, on returning to our hotel after the show we had the thumping noise of music until 3am in the morning that did not provide us with a good nights sleep. The rooms are advertised as sound proof but they are not. The area around the hotel is very busy into the early hours. We stayed on a Saturday night so not sure if this is the case on other nights.
