Hyatt Place Huntsville - Research Park - Redstone

Breakfast was available for purchase. It was clean and room was a great size for my family of 5.

You have to pay for breakfast now when in the past it was free. Only had 3 towels for 4 people staying and no bar soap in room for sink, was able to get both from desk though. The location of this place is great! We have stayed here multiple times in several years, service just seems to be going down

I had business reservations here two different times in September. The first time, I checked in but our group subsequently was told they had no rooms for anyone arriving on our particular date. I was allowed to stay since I had already received a room, the second time, I was not as lucky. Not only did the hotel once again not have rooms for us, but the failed to make other reservations for us until we were standing in front of them. It seems they should have learned from the prior week and planned ahead or notified our company that they had no rooms. I specifically dealt with Letitia and Keyondra, who are both Asst, GMs. They both ASSURED me that the alternate hotel they finally booked was comparable to their location. Having stayed at this location the week prior I had a very keen understanding of what the Hyatt Place rooms were like. The alternative hotel was about 1.5 miles away and not nearly as convenient to restaurants and other places within walking distance (especially since it rained the whole time we were in town and some in our party had no cars.). I won’t name the alternative hotel but let me say it is NO WHERE near the same level as Hyatt. While their staff was very friendly and helpful, the alternative hotel was old, run down, and in a sketchy (unsafe) area. The rooms were very dated and parts unclean (you wouldn’t want to walk barefoot for sure). Shame on these two managers for misrepresenting the alternative hotel and sending business customers there. The others in my party were even worse off when they arrived as it was very late at night and these same managers failed to give the alternative hotel the transfer of the reservation. It took my associates over an hour to get it straightened out, transport to the new hotel, and ultimately had to pay the room rate themselves. This is no way to run a business nor treat business travelers. I told our company to never book rooms at this location again. Burn me once, shame on you but burn me twice and thats enough! Don’t trust that a confirmed reservation at this hotel means you will stay there, nor would I believe manage,not if they tell you they are sending you to an equivalent hotel.

Great location near shopping and restaurants. The hotel was clean and up-to-date. The 24-hour fitness center came in handy, along with the early breakfast times.

For the most part, everything was fine. Great location. Close to shopping and dining. The bathroom did have several large clumps of hair on the shower ceiling that we thought was odd. We were told there was a bar open from 5-10 pm, but when we stopped by, the young man who was on duty basically told us he didn’t know how to make any of the drinks on the menu. They did have bottled beer and a couple of wine options, but you shouldn’t have someone on duty who isn’t basically trained to your menu. Easy parking, and we felt safe in the area.

I took an Uber from the airport and had my bags with me. It was too early for check-in but the clerk had no problem holding my bags for me. The hotel is near an outdoor mall with some dining options and I found something to eat while I waited. I checked in early (again, very accommodating) and found my room spacious and clean. The breakfast was excellent. Finally, there was actually good water pressure in the shower. One reason I am not fond of traveling is the lousy water pressure, but this shower was probably the best I have had in a hotel.

Check-in and check-out times. I tried requesting an earlier check-in and was told it was a $25 fee (that I was willing to pay). Then after acknowledging I was willing to pay the $25 early check-in the gentleman on the phone (who said he was the manager) stated we can’t do early check-in due to our housekeepers having to have time to get the rooms cleaned. Very disappointing. Also we had no hot water in the shower and at the sink.

Location is great! Central to shopping and dining woth no traffic noise. Room was clean and spacious. Only downfall was the walls are thin. Heard al the hallway noise, ice machine and people. If room had been quieter this would have been a 5.

I had an excellent stay! The hotel was very clean, and the customer service was outstanding from start to finish. Breakfast was fresh and satisfying, with the bonus of Starbucks coffee available. I also really enjoyed the gym — well-equipped and convenient. Overall, a comfortable and hassle-free experience. I’d definitely stay here again!
