Lake View Suites Private Pool Villas with Panoramic Lake Kournas Views Near Chania

Nikos is an amazing host! The place is spotless, beautifully new, and the views are absolutely stunning. The suite was thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need for both a short or extended stay. We truly enjoyed our time here and will definitely come back and gladly recommend Nikos’ place to our friends. ☀️

This place is amazing. The apartment is equipped with everything you need plus many very thoughtful details. The owners really go above and beyond. Plus the view is spectacular and the lake is the perfect playground for any family or couple. Could not recommend more. We were just sad that we did not stay longer.

When we arrived we had some refreshments and some snacks. The apartment was perfectly clean and everything was smelling good. Niko was really kind and sent as some information in advance about places around. The apartment is good size and the aircons works perfectly. My family was on holiday but due to some issues... I had to work and I can tell that the internet works amazingly good. Emails, Teams with camera and sharing content from the cloud,... no issues at all. Additionally you have a really good restaurnat 50 meters far called Taberna Ambrosia, really good food, good service and affordable. The swimming pool is big enough to relax and has amazing views. Good place to relax listening music and eating and drinking. Also is right on top of the lake, 10 minutes walking, great to go to swim, a lot of fun. I would give a 10 and I would certainly repeat.

If I need to address a BUT... it would be that it is a bit far from Elafonisi, Balos and Samaria Gorge.

Words can not explain the view of the lake, mountains and sea. The Villa home is so clean and spacious, we were amazed. The pools are unbelievably made on the side of the mountain literally, never had I ever seen such beautiful topography and style, Lake View Suites is truly a one of a kind resort for friends and family.

The villa was an absolute gem! Our host, Nikos, went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The villa was spacious with a stunning view of the lake, and the private pool was a hit with the kids. We loved the nearby Greek tavernas for delicious meals. Our stay was perfect, and we can't wait to return. Thank you, Nikos, for a wonderful experience. 10 stars!

That we did not stay longer.

This was perhaps the best stay experience I have had in all my years of traveling. And it was largely because the property was exactly what I hoped it would be, its views were breath-taking, the private pool was amazing. But more than that, Niko was perhaps the best host I have ever come across. He was accommodating of every request we made. My wife had request a yoga mat which was in there when we entered. He had stocked our fridge with everything we could need. One day I complained about having some back pain, and Niko and his mom installed a whole different bed for me. My partner, in-laws, my daughter and my son couldn't get enough of the pool. He ensured that the pool was cleaned every day. Always checked in with us if we needed anything and was always available on Whatsapp. Right across the stay, there was Restaurant Ambrosia which is single-handedly the best food I have had in Crete. Mama and her son there were so friendly that we kept going back there. Do not miss out on a meal there - its way better than any of the restaurants in the vicinity. I know for a matter of fact that we will be staying here anytime we come back to Crete. Its away from the noise and busyness of the big cities, has an amazing view of the Lake and the Sea, and perhaps the best host in Crete. I thank Niko for the amazing experience.

Not a fault of the stay, but something to keep in mind about the location - Since its quite far from everything, we found that the cheapest way to travel anywhere without a car is taking the toy train that leaves from the entrance of the Kournas Lake to Kavros which is connected to every other city via a good bus network. The cost is just €5 per adult and the ride is fun. The timetable changes. Check their facebook page to be updated.

The host was very kind and the property was clean and comfortable. We had a good stay here.

It was a bit of a shame that other guests had to walk past our living room area. This is a group of villas altogether the pool areas are separate from the villas.

Nicholas, the host, welcomed us exceptionally with great care, attending to everything we needed. The private pool was luxurious, with inflatables that the kids thoroughly enjoyed. The suite was clean, and we were greeted with drinks and snacks, all offered with a generous spirit.

We had a great stay at Nico’s lovely villa. The villa is spacious, with enough room, with two different patios from where you get an amazing view of the lake. Everything was perfectly arranged. Nico has stocked up the fridge before our arrival with some drinks and food items to get you started in the morning after arrival which is very thoughtful and great of him! Further there is everything you need in the villa, from cutlery in the kitchen to washing tabs, soap, douche gel, etc. Enough towels and change of sheets in a long stay. The swimming pool area is amazing, with enough lounge chairs and umbrellas so that you can choose where to chill depending on the time of the day. Nico is a great and attentive host and you can feel that he created everything with love. I almost did not want to write a review so that it stays a hidden gem lol but Nico deserves as many guests as possible. We will be back! 😊
