Lake View Suites Private Pool Villas with Panoramic Lake Kournas Views Near Chania

If you want to explore the heart of Crete, but be close enough to tourist attractions (Lake Kournas, loads of nearby beaches, ancient ruins, Rethimno, and Chania) this is the perfect place to be. The villa itself has everything so if lazing by the pool and cooking up a storm on the bbq is your preference rather than sightseeing you have that option too. In our opinion, despite the great location and the villa itself - the best part of Lake View is Nikos the host. He was the most attentive and generous host we have ever experienced - and even though he is always there for whatever we needed, he gave us plenty of space to enjoy the place ourselves. When we come back to Crete, it will be only when Nikos has space for us to come back!

Not a negative, but having a car will make life much easier to get to the villa and to visit surrounding places!

We had a fantastic stay at Lake View Suites in Lake Kournas in Crete, and our host, Nikos, made it truly memorable. The accommodation was lovely—clean, well-presented, and equipped with essential air-conditioning. Nikos even provided some snacks upon our arrival and was always attentive, even arranging pastries for breakfast on our first morning. For my birthday, Nikos went above and beyond by arranging a cake. His local knowledge and numerous contacts helped us with everything from car hire to airport transportation, making our stay seamless and enjoyable. Nikos showed true kindness and compassion when part of our family were unable to join us on our holiday as intended. Overall, Nikos' hospitality and the beautiful setting made our time in Crete unforgettable. We can't wait to visit again!

his is the best place me and my family have ever visited. As a welcome gift we had a full fridge off food and drinks, Villa has an amazing view for the lake and mountains. Everything’s has been very very clean 😎 Nicolas was the best host ever setting up even fireworks show for us as a surprise! Very very recommending this Villa !!! It’s friendly for kids also- we have big family and we had 10 kids 😻 even toys for them were waiting in swimming pools!!! location and view over the lake is superb. the area has a nice laid back holiday vibe. a few minutes stroll to the lake where there are various activities. Nico is an excellent host who left us a nice welcome pack and fresh pastries during the stay. apartment is really spacious and well equipped

if you are tall you may fine the bed a bit uncomfortable due to the bed frame tased at the foot end

We had a great stay. Location was amazing, from the suite and private pool there is a beautiful view of the lake. A lot of taverns close by, Lake View Suites is in walking distance of the lake. Everything was clean and well maintained, airconditioning in every room (except the bathroom), which is necessary during the summer as it can get quite hot. Also really appreciated the anti-mosquito plugs! The pool was also cleaned daily and very refreshing at the end of the day. Nikos was honestly the best host you could wish for. A day before arriving he sent us links to Google Maps on how to get there and the closest supermarket. He's always reachable through Whatsapp. The fridge was stocked with some food and drinks for the first 2 days. During our stay Nikos also surprised us with traditional breakfast pastries which were to die for. On our last night he brought us pizzas to send us off. Truly wished I could've stayed longer!

The only 'criticism' I can give was that the water in the shower sometimes got cold for a few seconds, but it was honestly so hot that it was more refreshing than a nuisance. The kitchen was fully equipped, however because there were no spices, we didn't really use it to its full potential and ended up eating out or making simple things like paninis or heating up some premade meals, which wasn't even that bad as we didn't have to figure out what to cook, which saved us a lot of time at night.
