Waves at Surfside

Location Location Location and amazing service by Katia.

The cottage needs a bit of maintenance. We had trouble with water in the shower.

Huge 3 bedroom property right on the ocean front. A family of five, we had a wonderful stay here. Katia was so friendly and helpful.

All the staff were friendly and helpful. The ease of booking tours The pool. wow, you get your own pool! Beds were nice. Bathrooms were large and each bed room had their own. Balcony and back porch right by the water, what more could you dream of??

No TV. Although to be fair, someone from the resort next door said the same thing. Maybe there's no broadcasts? I would have liked to connect my iPad to a TV to watch my iTunes movies. Even if there is poor TV broadcasts the traveller has options to bring their own content. The cane furniture while very much in "theme' was actually not that comfortable to sit on and place things on the tables.

The villa was lovely. The view was spectacular with sun lounges and chairs overlooking the beach under cover. The swimming pool was super clean and the water was the perfect temperature. The location was great with minibuses passing by every few minutes. It was about 15 mins into Port Vila at 150 Vatu per person. Breakas Resort was right next to the villas on the same beach. You could walk along the beach to the neighbouring resort for food and entertainment. You can walk along the road to numerous other food places. Katia was the perfect host. Nothing was too much trouble and she was ready to assist throughout the day if needed. I will definitely be staying there again when in Vanuatu.

For a 3 bedroom villa the lounge room could do with another couch to accomodate 6 people. A few kitchen staples like salt and pepper. Not deal breakers at all.

Good location and big

There was no restaurant onsite and only adult only resort next door.

Self contained villa unit located in quiet location directly on the beach. Small convenience shop across the road for snack items ie water, beer, chips and also has local bread (get in early). Katia the host is lovely and is extremely helpful, she was very accommodating and also ensured when we moved hotels (due to a flight cancellation) to help on the local bus rather than expensive taxi costs for 3km travel. Villa unit is fully contained (great wifi), washing machine, cooking facilities, great pool, very comfortable beds with crisp sheets/doona. They do not have tv’s but being so close to the salt water might be why and most people have tablets/phones etc. Would recommend a family of six/or friends to stay as large enough (3 bed, 3 bath, two outdoor areas). Can catch local bus into town 150 VUT Adult, 100 VUT Child each way. Local: Breakas (no kids) but will drop in takeaway (once you go to pay and order), Cafe Vila (950m) and Three Pigs (1km).

Filtered water for guests (suggestion only due to the location)

This is a fantastic location for snorkeling and relaxing with an amazing view of the reef. It's only about 10min out of town,so getting a taxi is easy for shopping and dining.
