Frosty cold Run-down place

We had the most incredible stay at Tizi, I would return in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone. It is a stunningly beautiful building surrounded by gardens to relax and enjoy the views from. It certainly lived up to the photos and previous reviews. After the noise and bustle of the city, this was an amazing respite! Our room was so spacious, we had a suite which suited our family perfectly. Although it was quite cool whilst we were there, every evening a fire was lit in the room and we were perfectly happy. Sadly, the weather didn't allow for us to use the pool but we ate and lazed in the gardens instead. The local cats provided entertainment for our boys! The food there was gorgeous, there was a separate building with the dining room for the evenings, again with a lit open fire. We were served so much traditional, local food, all of it was amazing. We also want to thank all the staff who could not have been kinder. When we arrived, we were unwell from a meal in Marrakech, they created local remedies and teas for us and were incredibly caring. Of an evening, we all played cards together in the lounge area. They also arranged for a local guide to take us for a hike into the mountains and around the Berber villages, he was superb - excellent English and so much interesting local knowledge. We met an elderly Berber lady who invited us into her home and showed us how she made bread which we ate on her rooftop - a definite highlight of the entire holiday. We loved everything about our time here and felt privileged to be there and experience it.

A lovely stay away from home - out family hosts were very welcoming and we had the best nights sleep of our trip!

They arranged a good guide and taxi for a trip to Imlil, which was great. The staff were very nice and one spoke English. Owner lives there, speaks French . It's a large old house, very atmospheric, in the country in a lovely setting. It is a place to mellow out in after the overload of the medinas, and not far from Marrakech. Well worth a few nights. We asked for pasta the next night, which was good but the spaghetti was overcooked, so tell them if you order that to cook it how you want.

Breakfast was good but lacked fruit other than apples, pomegranates. No oranges, etc. We had dinner 2 nights, the first night I had a beef tagine and the beef was inedible. It is isolated so as you depend on the food, it should be better. They charge enough that it should be a lot better. They wanted to charge 300 MAD, over 30 USD, for a bottle of wine which we paid 130 MAD for in a restaurant in Fez. I refused and they agreed on 200. Tell them what time you will be up if you want a morning shower since they don't turn on the hot water early !

This was an absolutely lovely place to stay in the mountains. The staff were incredible. They were welcoming, helpful and super friendly. The lounge area was large, the garden and restaurant areas were beautiful and comfortable and our room was spacious. Our room also had a beautiful large balcony to sit outside and admire the view. I must also add that although we went to many of the top restaurants in Marrakech, the chicken and beef tagines that were made for us here were way better than anything else we ate in Morocco. For the price we paid for the accommodation, I would highly recommend this hotel.
