We liked how quiet it was and how it felt secluded yet so close to town, only being about 1km out and about 3.5 from the jetty.

Fairlawn Estate is exceptional accommodation. The photos cannot do justice to the beauty and history of this homestead.

An amalgam of a country home and an extended farmhouse in a pleasant rural area. Well planted and maintained with interest provided by the varied wildlife. Thoughtfully and well equipped with good quality bedding.

Finding out at the last minute that toilet and shower facilities, despite being dedicated were in a separate building was a serious disappointment. The requirement to access the toilet in the dark in a relatively remote location without being able to fully secure this facility due to an unlocked external door exacerbated this concern. This has resulted in low gradings in some categories. Little written information was available on some of the equipment meaning that the microwave is either broken or beyond our ability to operate. Consideration should be given to refurbishment of lounge furniture which is sagging and generally tired looking. The location of the TV is too high for comfortable watching.

We enjoyed the building itself impressed with the kitchen dining area and facilities The enclosed verandah and great garden view Fancy lounge between the two big bedrooms . Big outdoor farm including sheep cows alpaca's and rabbits. Bathroom toilet was in separate room. Owners checked on everything going ok 👍
