Is a nice small hotel

Good location, about a block from the strip.

We were attending the SEMA event at the Las Vegas convention center This hotel was just across the street from the entrance we needed Very convenient Beautiful place with good food inhouse

I have been a Marriott Titanium member for 9 years, and currently an ambassador member. I believe that hospitality is the most important facet of hospitality for guests who stay at hotels away from their own homes: regardless of whether the guest is loyal or not. Unfortunately, I have found most hotel staff I have encountered to be inhospitable/unprofessional, and some of whom are tricky to work with. Thus, I recently decided to start writing short diaries/reviews for every hotel I visit (though it consumes my time) to hopefully provide some useful information for you and the hotel managers. My hope is that hotels continuously improve to become hospitable places with the purpose of serving their guests. In the end, my final evaluation (the number of stars) is heavily based on the quality of my interactions with staff as a loyal member. I stayed at the Las Vegas Marriott for 3 nights (checked in on Oct 20 and checked out on Oct 23). I checked in around 5:00pm on Oct 20 by Lloyd. Below are my views on good (+) and not-good (-) about this hotel. Good things: + Lloyd was a great receptionist: always smiled when checking me in. The key is ready for me. + The hotel is opposite the convention center and is walkable to Las Vegas Avenue. + The gym has a good size with many new equipment and a nice water filter system. + The breakfast is great and the staff there (especially Rose) are tentative and friendly with customers. Not-good things: - No welcome gift/bag(with goodies) for ambassador member. - There is no club lounge. - I didn’t see any pool so I guess there may be no pool. - Adding a “sphere view” as the upgrade for me though I am an ambassador member. The hotel has 16 floors, but they put me on the 9th floor (though my booking reference is high floor). Clearly, it was not an upgrade: well I guess they called “sphere view” a reasonable upgrade for ambassador members.

The Staff was very nice

Could be a little cleaner, we found some hair in the beds and a questionable stain on one of the comforters
