Novotel Queenstown Lakeside

Location was great 👍

Very noisy rooms, someone walking on top of us, also adjoining room TV did not work (batteries) Alarm went off (maybe top of gondola), nobody from the Hotel contacted us

The room was fine, it was Room 244 and was easy access on level 2.

The shower curtain kept blowing inwards causing the water to flow freely on to the floor.

The bed had a giant hole on one side and we both rolled to it.

Sounds could be heard from adjoining rooms (banging doors, loud talking, footsteps and movement). Disturbed sleep basically throughout the night and had the worst nights sleep for a long while. The noises caused disturbance at 11pm, midnight through to 2am and then I was woke up at 5.30am with the same noises again. Impossible to get back to sleep.. Some people have absolutely no consideration for others!

It was nice and central in Queenstown

There was a tooth brush left in our bathroom when we checked in at 4:30pm and bath wasn’t clean.

Location is fantastic - walking distance from the main area but away from the ruckus. Water refill available on the ground floor.

The king mattress is terrible - zero support and you’ll feel like you’re falling off the side of the bed if there’s two people on it. The corridors also smell stale - there’s no air purification to get rid of lingering scents left by other guests. We didn’t use the washers and dryers but saw that 4 out of 6 machines were out of order.
