Exceptionally nice facility with excellent staff and service. Very enjoyable Thanksgiving dinner and overnight stay

I booked a room here through Chase Sapphire Reserve, which in theory entitled me to all kinds of new perks that have just started with The Edit hotel program. I mistakenly used my Chase card to pay for dinner instead of charging it to my room, and they absolutely refused to fix the problem and issue me the $100 credit that I was entitled to. The hotel manager berated me and kept reminding me that I was the one who made the mistake, after I had been nothing but gracious and humble. I found this attitude to be extraordinarily offensive, given the prestigious reputation of the property and the exorbitant prices they charge. While we did enjoy our stay and a delicious dinner at the main restaurant, this closing incident to our visit left a sour taste in my mouth and made me feel embarrassed and humiliated. I will choose a different place to stay next time I'm in the area.

Chatham Bars Inn is a remarkable place. Its old world New England charm with hints of a nautical theme were truly inspiring. The staff was top notch, hands down! My niece got married there and had her wedding along the ocean and bay. The cocktail party the night before was excellent. The finger foods, the drinks, and the atmosphere were 5- star. The after wedding get-together was remarkable and the wedding reception was remarkable. There was also and after reception party at 10:00pm - 12:00am where drinks and finger foods were yet served again. The parking attendants/valets were very polite and friendly and were very professional. I cannot rave enough about this fantastic 5-star hotel enough. Definitely will go back for a stay there.

We had a lovely stay in a king cottage room that was spacious, clean, quiet and very comfortable. Despite being chilly, the grounds still maintained incredible beauty. We will definitely be back!

A great getaway. Beautiful room in a cottager with a ocean view. Spa treatment was great. Had supper in the bar both nights - very nice. Live jazz in the lobby lounge was a nice suprise.

I was very disappointed in my experience at this hotel. Although the hotel was very clean and very pretty, it lacked friendly staff and good service. The main restaurant was very overpriced and the food was not good, and the service was poor. Their transportation services were excellent, but that was the only great experience. The concierge was adequate but not awesome. This was a trip with 5 friends that I organized, and I was disappointed in the lack of friendliness and service at this hotel. One of my guests slipped in a puddle of liquid from food at one of the restaurants they had recommended and hurt herself very badly. The restaurant was not concerned and we also told the hotel about the experience, and never heard anything back from them. Although the hotel looks great from the website, it is not one I will return to and would advise future guests to look at some of the other hotels nearly for service and friendliness.

Children made our 65th anniversary celebration VERY special by having us picked up by CBI’s car, driven to CBI for a really delightful dinner and returned home by CBI car….evry person we met at CBI greeted us by congratulating us on our 65th….soooo special….dinner was excellent, served by Sarah, who is really superb….herself had the scallops, I had the pork……both very good, as were the robust cocktails…..a wonderful place for a really special occasion, for sure!

Exceptional all around. ***** Five Stars for the ambience, decor, comfort, staff and food. Room was very comfortable. Staff were welcoming and responsive. Celebration food, breakfast and bar were all top notch.

Excellent property with great staffs, amenities, and F&B offerings. Location is perfect. We stayed for two nights on Oct 31, and the property has the most beautiful "Fall in New England" decoration.
