My husband and I loved the tranquil 220-acre property. Visiting it in October, we appreciated the quiet beauty. Our anniversary dinner in the restaurant was romantic and delicious. We had fun playing Boche ball and horseshoes. 9Kent Island Resort made our stay in perfect.

The charm was nice, as well as the grounds.

I could not use the balcony because of a bug infestation. Then maintenance came and sprayed bug spray, which left a strong smell in the room. Bugs still were climbing on the walls. Windows were very dirty. Doors were traditional handles with no added security. The staff were kind, but my message to the hotel about the issue went ignored, as well as no invoice as requested.

The decor and surrounding grounds. Quiet and comfortable. Restaurant food was spectacular and the waitresses were friendly . Great location.

I was up charged for a room and didn’t realize it until I looked at my email before I left. But it was cleared up right away. It’s such a beautiful property but if you had mobility issues it would not be a good fit.

The restaurant was the lone bright spot in the trip. Dinner was delicious and the service there was very good. But the room, etc was a disappointment.

Check-in started out bad. The room was very disappointing. It was small but we expected that and had chosen a room with a balcony to give us extra space but it was unuable as there were so many bugs trapped between the door to the room and the screen door to the porch that we couldn't open the door without having them swarm the room The arrangement to get to the bathroom involved 3 uneven steps down.....making it dangerous to go to the bathroom in the night. The final night had the resort hosting a wedding which was fine except that the reception was on the gounds (tent) right outside and loud music played until after 11 pm. Had we know this before we probably would not have booked that time. Overall this was a huge bust. So disappointed!
