Hyatt Place Fair Lawn Paramus

The hotel is very nice, with good facilities, clean, and a perfect location. Overall, it was very good. I only had a problem with parking for two nights.

We arrived shortly after 4pm and had to wait a while for our room to be cleaned.

It was good for one night. Beds were comfortable. We were there for a concert at MetLife stadium. Breakfast wasn't anything fancy but it was sufficient. Coffee was good.

This location is a mess! We stayed in 115 which wreaked of the smell of wet carpet, vomit and/or mold. The front desk's only response was "oh, it must be the carpet that was cleaned", as if that response was ok. By the way, the carpet was wet as I made the mistake of taking off my shoes. I wanted to relay via Trip Advisor but, it was stated that I had profanity, there is no profanity, just a POOR STAY, & I WILL NOT STAY AT ANY HYATT PROPERTY that is below a 4STAR.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times over the past 8 years. It’s a very comfortable space and usually pretty reasonable. This last stay was slightly disappointing in that we arrived very tired after a very busy day. We stay in room 141. The room was fine as always, but there is a very bright outdoor spot light outside the window. So it made sleeping, even with the room darkening curtains difficult. The management needs reposition or relocate that light.

Ok so we stayed at the hyatt fairlawn in paramus on 8/27/25 to 8/28/25. The staff was very nice and helpful. They do an excellent job of keeping the hotel nice and clean. They even accomidated our early arrival even though they were completely booked. Now for the bad. I booked this hotel in February. When booking there wasn't anything mentioned about the pool being closed. They only mentioned that they had a pool with a handicapped lift. The workers claim that its stated on all platforms however when i looked thats not the case at all. Theres no mention about it nor did i get any type of email regarding the fact that the pools closed due to "maintenance" issues. I was able to look at the pool from the outside and saw that it looks perfectly clean and fine. They sate that its been closed since November of 2024. I cant understand that a hotel chain that has 100s of hotels in the US cant get a pool fixed for almost a year when making so much money. Our main reason for choosing this hotel was because of the pool. Had i been notified i would have went somewhere else. I also got 4 more friends to stay here as well. So that was 2 more rooms booked because of me all due to the fact that we were excited to be able to go swimming before our concert. Then wake up eat breakfast and hang out at the pool until check out. I do feel they lied to us only because the hotel was booked out. They cheated us out of a main amenitie however we werent compensated or anything for this. Bad Business

This location needs updating! Its the year 2025, and there isn’t any ice machines on every floor!! The elevators are loud, slow and seem like they will break down at any moment. The water pressure from the showers is sub par. Once again..it’s 2025!!! How about some smart TV’s and USBc outlets!! While the staff and lobby are great, the rooms are just ok

Very clean, and peaceful area to stay.

The both blankets in the room 112 were contaminated with full of mold. Asked for new blankets but they too were full of mold. I can send you pictures. I’ll never ever stay here.
