Hyatt Place Denver Tech Center

We booked adjoining rooms at the Hyatt for a family birthday that we were all excited for. When we arrived, only one room was on the reservation. We went up to the room to set up some of the birthday decorations while we waited to see what was going to happen with the other room. My daughter was talking to the main number of the Hyatt and went downstairs to let the manager know what was going on. The manager took offense to my adult daughter and was extremely rude and unprofessional with her. My daughter was appropriately frustrated and completely appropriate and contained. The manager proceeded quickly to the position of asking her to leave the hotel and that our party was no longer welcome there. It was shocking. She came back upstairs to tell us, and we were trying to get all of the decorations down and packed up when the police arrived at our door. The manager had actually called the police to escort us out of the building. It was humiliating and shocking. Our experience with main Hyatt was not much better and I will never frequent a Hyatt hotel again in my lifetime.

If I could give the hotel 0 stars, I would. I have NEVER in my life been treated as disgustingly by the management as I was. I have a hard time believing that a company as large & established as Hyatt trains their employees to treat customers as horribly as I was. As soon as I began the check in process, I felt as if the person helping me (who turned out to be be manager) did not like me. I hope this isn’t the case, but frankly, upon reflection, I can’t help but wonder if the Star of David I was wearing played a part. There is a lot more to this story than I have the space to write here, but all in all, my entire experience with this hotel from beginning to end was horribly and beyond upsetting and will absolutely make me question ever staying at a Hyatt property again.

Booked through AMEX travel, when I arrived at checkin they asked if I was a Hyatt rewards member, I said I am but I booked through AMEX travel, they then proceeded to tell me that my room was not ready and I had to to wait. Checkin is advertised as 3pm and I didn’t get into my room until right before 5pm. Only one elevator worked the whole time, I had to wait normally 5-10 minutes for an elevator each time, the breakfast was not good they didn’t even have yougurt and the eggs were cold and watery. Finally at checkout I waited at the front desk for 15 minutes and had to call to get someone there. They didn’t even ask how my stay was. This hotel is not properly maintained or managed in my opinion.

Property was safe, clean, and had a good breakfast spread. However I do have a few things I didn’t like, one elevator was broke only allowing one for usage and it stopped at every single floor so it took a long time to get up or down, breakfast was not kept warm one morning, and the mattress in my room had indentation due to usage making it hard to stay comfortable throughout the night.

I’m extremely disappointed with my stay at Hyatt Place Denver Tech Center. The nights were unbelievably loud, with constant shouting, parties, and people smoking both weed and cigarettes around the property. It was impossible to sleep. I complained to the front desk several times, but the noise and smoke kept going late into the night. It honestly felt more like a party hotel than a Hyatt. The smell of marijuana was everywhere, even in the hallways and elevators. If you’re looking for a quiet, comfortable place to rest, this is not it. I expected much better from Hyatt. This experience was stressful, noisy, and completely sleepless. Definitely not worth the price.

Staff are great. Hotel needs to fix both elevators. In the morning our room has a septic smell, kind of made me nauseous. Breakfast needs to offer more variety. Eggs are a great protein, but not when breakfast burritos have pork, for those who don’t eat meat. Not sure I will return, but location is awesome.

Can’t believe they charge for parking!

Breakfast was the best I've ever had from a hotel. The room was clean and looked newly renovated. It was pleasant.
