Hyatt Place Ft. Lauderdale/Plantation

4 top floors are renovated, 2 lower floors are still in progress. Lobby/breakfast area renovation not started yet. Pool looks old and dirty, not sure about the hotel plans to do anything about it, tbh. Got renovated room, very spacious with a lot of nooks and crannies. New beds are narrow though, really double ones, not Queen. Bathroom layout was a bit strange - large sink is in the room with beds facing it, and toilet/bathtub are in a very small bathroom behind the door (no sink there). Bathtub was not replaced during renovation, unfortunately. Breakfast was bad, very limited selection and poor quality. Not many tables to sit. Got power outage during our stay and wifi stopped working after that for several days. Hotel was not good with any proactive communication on status updates for that, internet was still down when we left.

Wifi was done for partial stay. Room was never cleaned. Sheets looked stained!

I had a positive stay at Hyatt Place Fort Lauderdale/Plantation. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location, which made it easy to get around the area. My room was spacious and well-kept, and the bed was very comfortable, which helped me rest well during my stay. The overall atmosphere of the hotel felt safe and welcoming. The staff were friendly and professional, and check-in was smooth and efficient. I also appreciated the complimentary breakfast, which had a good variety of options and was a nice way to start the day. If I had to mention one area for improvement, it would be that some areas of the property could use minor updates and service can slow down a bit during busy times. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for a comfortable and reliable stay in the Fort Lauderdale/Plantation area.

Good hotel - Staff was friendly. It's located near the freeway. Only complaint was that the pool seems to be dirty. Everything else was great.

The location for our purposes is great. The hotel is within walking distance of numerous shops and restaurants, and only about 15 minutes by car from the Sawgrass Mills Mall and Amerant Bank Arena. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The hotel is undergoing remodeling presently, but it didn't really impact our stay. The area is safe. This was our most recent of many stays here, and we'll definitely be back.

Location is very good in a nice side of town. The rooms are clean but noisy as no sound dampening to outside nor the elevator you will hear it more than 6 rooms away along with water pumps and the shower dripped randomly for no reason even when it had not yet been used in the stay it seems to be a building pressure issue. No microwave. Maid service mandatory every 2 days which is odd. Noise from pool even on top floor and a lot of highway noise!. Room is very clean. Price is similar to the casino so it is over rated. Parking is poor without the construction containers taking up needed spaces. Staff if you can find one is not helpful especially around parking. I arrived at 11pm and they noted I could get up at 4am to move my car. This clearly is not helpful and could not answer where I could park. I parked in maintenance parking which is ridiculous but their entire parking situation is poor and with construction it is worse. There was no construction during my stay active however the noise was significant from the road the elevator and what I assume is a water pumps. The pool is nice but you won’t need to see if people are in it as even on the top floor you will hear them as if you are sitting in the pool area. Noise is a issue here. Price is too high for the quality of this location. Breakfast is poor quality powder eggs and old toast where available. Some days the meat was better than others.
