Hyatt Place Scottsdale/Old Town

Before we reserved: We were told the pool would be heated. Either it isn’t sufficiently heated or it isn’t heated at all. At the end of March 2026, it was unfit for use unless rigorous swimming which it is also unfit for as it is too small. Other than that, it is a modern, renovated facility. Note to the staff: the receptionist was eating French fries when we checked in so it seemed like we interrupted her meal on top of being unprofessional as the food was right in front in the full view for my family to see. On early morning checkout, another receptionist wasn’t even at the reception- she was lounging in a restaurant area booth with what seemed like her romantic partner who seemed to be sleeping. Finally, the receptionist refused to take my number and call when the food delivery is arrived - she told me I had to wait in the lobby. The pool area misters (spraying cold water) were ON and making the outdoor furniture wet, while it was also not even hot outside. We asked for them to be stopped but the seating was already damp and we could not use it. We were told they were on a timer and would stop on their own

A nearby nightclub resulted in loud music and disturbances in the parking lot from midnight until 3:00 a.m. When we contacted the front desk, we were advised to call the police ourselves, which did not resolve the issue. > > On our final day, housekeeping entered our room unannounced twice at 9:00 a.m., despite the fact that we had not yet checked out. > > Guests seeking a quiet night’s sleep, particularly on Saturdays, may want to consider other accommodations.

The location was right perfect in Scottsdale. I was in town for the baseball spring training it was just a short 15 min walk to the stadium. The hotel room was tidy and clean and had a good amount of space and lighting. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Our room was on the side of property next to the night club downstairs there was quite a bit of noise on a weekend day it went on for quite a while when the club was getting out.

The staff was excellent, especially Dominic. He went above and beyond to be accommodating. No parking fee, however there was a charge for breakfast.

The noise! The hotel is located very close to several nightclubs. After they close at 2am the party extends to the parking lot which was directly below our room. Not only was it noisy, we didn’t feel safe. Also, no coffee or water in the lobby.

Great location and beautiful rooms.

Parking is limited so come early if it is a popular time.

NO LONGER HAVE BUSINESS CENTER. IWAS COUNTING ON IT AND IT WAS GONE

Great location, clean room, good breakfast. Small pool and gym. Local golf cart ride available $5/pp. Perfect location close to old town and mall restaurants, shopping, etc.
