Torbay Court Hotel

Everything. My single room was extremely quiet, lovely and clean, comfortable and the staff are fantastic. The housekeeping team were brilliant, ensuring that I had everything I needed every day during my stay. Superb location as the hotel is only a short walk into the town centre for shops, the cinema, playground, library and bus/train stations and night life yet being able to return afterwards and not hear any late night noise. Excellent.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Sadly room wasn’t ready at 4pm when we could check in at 3pm Went up to room and as soon as I opened the door I was hit by the smell of boiler fumes. The windows were both open( very small single room) Opened the bathroom door ( very small room) and this smelt very bad too! The room was also quite dirty and the curtain hooks were broken so the curtains were falling off in places. Reported all of the above to staff at reception was told could not be moved as hotel was full told to close windows and then curtains to keep sun out so room didn’t get hot ( this was on one of the hottest days in May). My stay was for 3 nights and I had to keep the windows closed for the whole stay. Basically my stay at Torbay court hotel was terrible and I will not be returning!

Staff at reception, in the restaurant and the cleaning staff were all pleasant, helpful, polite and cheerful.
