Sea World Resort

We stayed recently for 3 nights during the September school holidays. It was very busy (as was expected) and it the accommodation rates and food was quite expensive but we all had a nice time. Our room was neat, clean and tidy, the staff were friendly and overall it was a pleasant stay. We had an issue with room service one night (the order took 2 hours to arrive and we had to follow up multiple times) but that was rectified by the check out staff at the end of our stay. My suggestion is to ensure you book dinner at the Shoreline Restaurant and Hatsuhana Japanese Restaurant well in advance (before your scheduled stay) to ensure you are able to secure a table. I would also suggest to the resort that they create two lines at the Shoreline Restaurant for dinner, one line for those that have booked and one line for those that have not booked. This would definitely assist to speed up the process a bit.

I have never experienced such flawless service like I have at SeaWorld resort!! All of the staff (both here and Donna from guest services at SeaWorld) were absolutely amazing and so effortlessly accommodating to our unique needs! The manager/concierge Brett especially and the whole check in/night team from the start of our stay were so amazing! As a single mother to a child on the spectrum who also has ptsd from dv... This was healing for us both It was my son's big 10th birthday on Sunday 28sept., and after such devastating dv, this was just what we needed to restore our bond and happiness!!! Braxton has quite severe depression as a result and being high anxiety... His violent meltdowns have been daily. I was worried about how we would get through them at SeaWorld but to my shock, NOT ONE MELTDOWN DURING OUR STAY!!! That has never occured before! it brings me to tears and absolute joy to see hope restored within the hospitality industry. To the CEO/s of SeaWorld Nara resort, you have done an amazing job! I believe (coming from a hospitality background myself) that if you have good management; you have good staff... They should be congratulated on their high quality customer service, and friendliness. Although I have one request... Although the staff were able to move tables so my son could access the meet n greet and get a photo with SpongeBob, there is definitely a high need to make the resort more wheelchair accessible! That being said... It did not at all dampen our time there... Concluding my review, I can happily say, that my son's 10th birthday was perfect, thanks to your staff and management. I applaud everyone who assisted us and please know... Braxton and I will be back there soon (hopefully to meet the dolphins this time!) and without needing a wheelchair!!! Thank you to all staff! Very much a resort for young families, if you have teenagers or you are an adult couple I would recommend somewhere else. It was school holidays and prices went up a crazy amount but most of the hotels do the same thing. Rooms are small and beds seem to be extra bouncy and not particularly big. The free wifi didn't seem to handle the school holiday crowds so most of the time ended up using mobile data. Food is expensive and somewhat theme park like but coffee was ok at Melrose and Japanese provided an option for better quality food. The Sea world park was a good way to spend down time but the Gem is right across the road, the beach is lovely and a great morning walk.

This review is only for room . I paid for water view room and according to reception I got what I paid for. Please have a look and you decide if you would consider the view as water view. They advertise as watching the boats etc. I am still at the resort in the room . As tip ; if they give you room number 1031 and any couple of room numbers close to it, do not accept if you paid for water view. These are should be pool view rooms. Or semi water view I guess. Because you have to get up walk pass the splash pool and stand by the fence to be able to see the water. To be fair if you twist and turn , if there is no people in front of your room you get a piece of water view. I took photos 6am in the morning. So there there is no one yet. Imagine after breakfast , full of kids and parents, there is no chance to see water.

We enjoyed the stay. Nice family- friendly environment. Breastfast buffet was enjoyable. We also went to SeaWorld during our stay. Negatives were we booked two rooms for 8 people and stipulated all the childrens ages (9, 7, 4, 2 & 1) only to not receive a conjoined room. It split the family up and meant carrying sleeping children between rooms. Before entering Sea World, I asked reception if we could please borrow some towels for the kids. Reception said to ask Concierge. At concierge, the staff member said other than paid experiences, there are no water areas at Sea World that would require towels. Then he added there is a splash pad but said the kids "won't get too wet and definitely won't stay wet in this weather". I listened to him .. then later heavily regretted this decision. The splash pad absolutely saturates the kids and so does the pirate ship ride when you first enter the park from the resort. Yes, it was a warm day but it was windy and it is not comfy to sit in wet togs for hours. Also on arrival, I asked to pay for 1pm check-out, the staff member asked if she could use the card on file to charge for that, to which I said yes. The next day, at 11am, my phone rung 3 times back to back in 5mins, while we were watching the dolphin show. It was Sea World Resort ringing to ask if we were coming to check out. The staff from the day before did not process the late check out or leave any notes on file.

Room wasn’t cleaned on our second night

we went earlier this morning as a family of 4 (2 young kids 4 and 8). Always stay in apartments so decided to stay somewhere different this time. The hotel very kids friendly and walking distance to SeaWorld park which you can access from inside the hotel. the hotel is very dated, needs maintenance, and it is definitely not value for your money. We stay in a room where we could hear when people next door flushed the toilets, open the water tap. The lines for the restaurants extremely long which is very inconvenient when you are with small kids and staff don't pay too much attention. From reception area to around the hotel staff were not very attentive. I wouldn't stay here again with my family, for you pay here you are better off going to a bigger place and well maintained

Loved our stay at Seaworld. Clean room, friendly staff, great facilities, family friendly.

Having the resort right next to Sea World was both convenient and enjoyable! This gave us schedule flexibility with our 1yr old, whilst the pool was in the perfect location!
