Very friendly and lovely hosts. We could also have dinner if we needed to, which was convenient.

Vicky was a great host and a lovely person. She and her staff made us feel at home and made sure everything was to our liking.

Breakfast was good for me. The place always clean... Positive communication.

Being assisted and moved over to Pilansberg Guest House

Booked my acting team in at Vickys. After a long day on the road they arrived at Vicky's where they were told that there was no booking for them and that the guest house was fully booked. Although they had the fully paid Booking.com receipt in hand. We were informed that Vicky is one of two guest houses using the same booking platform. In the end my team was accommodated Pilansberg Guest House which, we can only presume is the other guest house using the same booking platform. The make matters worse we got a message after arrival to say that the booking needs to be paid - it was fully paid a month ago already Although they did not see the rooms at Vicky, the guest house looked run down and the reception toilet door could not even close properly. The second guest house was much better. And the team got a fab breakfast which made up for all the inconveniece. One can now only wonder how Vicky's is getting such good reviews or are the reviews reflecting here actually that of Pilansberg Guest House?  Doing this post as I do not wish anyone else to end up in the same situation. 

Not sure whether a 2 or 3 is a more fair rating. The only positive thing ended up being the proximity to Pilansberg, but honestly should have just added the extra 90 minute drive (especially considering that we couldn’t find any food within a 40 minute radius) to get back closer to Gauteng.

The cleanliness and friendliness of all the staff, its close proximity to the excellent Pilanesberg National Park, the air-con, fridge, and garden. The breakfast (which we weren't expecting) was excellent. It was nice and quiet with good, safe parking. There are fridges in every room. It is very close to Pilanesberg. We left early to visit the reserve and Vicky provided us with fruit for breakfast. We really enjoyed our 2-day stay. Thank you so much.
