The only positive aspect of our stay was the guy in the restaurant who kindly made us poutine after the kitchen had closed

We had a very unpleasant stay at this hotel. The cleaning lady woke us up at 11:20 AM and informed us that we were supposed to check out 20 minutes ago. When I explained that the booking confirmation stated check-out was at 12, she argued with me, saying they no longer working with Booking and continued to yell at me. She insisted that a paper they had (which didn’t mention check-out time) was more trustworthy than the Booking information. We left the room at 11:45 AM, and when I mentioned the situation to the reception staff, I was met with another rude woman who told me the check-out time was indeed 11:00 AM. She only agreed to "forgive" me this time, even though I showed her the information on Booking.com confirming check-out was at 12. She then said that staying until 12 would incur an additional charge. The experience completely ruined our vacation, and I will never stay here again. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. .

This place is fantastic. Great people, reasonably priced, lots of parking, very clean rooms, great bed, and a good selection of beverages.

Very friendly staff

Had a wonderful stay. Best pancakes I've ever had. My partner and I came during the winter to do some hiking near Tobermory and see the water, very convenient drive. The room was warm and cozy. Owners were really great. Lion's Head itself is also a really cute town. Overall we had a lovely weekend and I would definitely go again.

When I arrived the lady who I checked-in with was really nice and pleasent. The restaurant had a really cosy feeling to it. It would probably be a great place to go with your family. There is a shop where they sell some cute stuff. It is right next to the highway, but it was still nice and quiet.

I was disappointed by the hygiene during my stay. The first thing I noticed was that the bedsheets were dark, which made it hard to tell if they were clean (this isn’t necessarily an indication of dirt, but it's not ideal for a hotel/motel). The same issue applied to the towels. The water quality was also concerning. While the cold water was acceptable (though not great), the warm water had a strong, unpleasant smell, almost like something was rotting. I typically shower twice a day, but I skipped it during my stay due to this. Additionally, the shower curtain had a stain, and there was a significant buildup of limescale in the shower. To top it off, the remotes were quite dirty.

I could definitely smell the well water so you need bottled water. I am not sure they could do much about that. Minor problem

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience. They have a limited check in period, which is understandable given the remote location of the inn. When I first booked the reservation, I sent a message saying I would arrive late and if that was ok. .They said they could arrange a late check in. On the day of the check in I called to confirm that everything would be ok for my late check in and they gave me the instructions saying that although there wouldn't be anyone at the property at the time, the room would be unlocked with the keys inside. However, when getting at the inn at around 11pm with temperatures around 0ºC (32ºF), the room was locked. Me and my wife looked for the keys everywhere for more than 30 minutes but couldn't find them. We called the only phone we had, but no answer. We messaged the property using Facebook and Instagram but didn't get any responses. We then decided to leave and go look for any other available place in a nearby town. We were extremely lucky to find a room at a motel that was closed, but had someone that picked up the phone at midnight. Otherwise we would have had to sleed inside the car with negative temperatures. At around 6am in the following morning they replied to the message in Facebook saying the staff forgot to unlock the room opened...
