Onsen (bathroom) is outside, with cold weather - it is hard to go outside to take a bath

"Excellent facilities and dinner/breakfast but futons were too thin"

The delicious dinner and private bookable onsen was the perfect way to end a day out exploring the Aso region. Staff were really friendly.

The futons are on the thinner side. Both me and my husband woke up with some back pain in the morning.
