Soufriere Guesthouse

Perfect place in paradise! Clean, comfortable, close to town, awesome staff. (FYI, they even have beer for sale!) If there is anywhere on Dominica to stay, this is the place. Thanks so much!

Spaciousness, quiet, informative, kitchen set up, fresh eggs...

Good wifi for working / work video calls. 3 minute drive to the small town but not much in that town besides a kayak place and the hiking attractions. Great location if you have a car to see water falls etc- 20-30 minutes away. shared Kitchen area was actually great. People were friendly all and all good vibes and very comfortable. We stayed in “fancier” fort young hotel for 3 nights before and preferred this place more, mainly becase it’s 1/3 the cost

No AC but that didn’t bother us. Walking to things from this hostel would be tough. Think you will need a car.

This is a lovely guesthouse, which has both individual rooms and hostel-like ones. Common spaces are spacious and well thought, no matter how many people are staying, there is room for all. Good organisation of their use, given high volume of guests. Well run, the guesthouse provides all amenities of Western lifestyle, while being situated in a seashore village in Dominika, where these are not the usual standards.

The guesthouse is about 10 minutes walk from the seaside and any possible source of food, so coming back uphill in the hot weather is a bit painful. If one person gets up and starts cooking up breakfast at 6 AM in the joint kitchen, it is more or less the end of sleep for all. Same with talkative guests in joint spaces in the late evening hours.

The owners are great people, very friendly and helpful staff. Spacious communal kitchen and vernada area to hang out. Over all the guesthouse had a great vibe.

Beautiful guest house set in lovely location. Excellent and helpful messages from Jon before arriving that helped us no end on our first visit to Dominica. All staff very friendly, doing an excellent job of keeping the guesthouse clean. Great for walking first two segments of the WNT and Scot Head for snorkeling.
