Casa Hidalgo En El Corazón de Coyoacán

The facility has a big, comfortable kitchen. I got groceries and had a spot in the communal refrigerator which was wonderful. I could have breakfast and work until it was time to go to my conference every morning. There's a beautiful little terrace to sit in. The hosts were VERY communicative and helpful.

My room didn't have screens in the window and the mosquitoes were a problem. Also the location is on a main road. Great for safety, but noisy at night till quite late.

There was hot water.

We were left standing on the sidewalk with our luggage for 15+ minutes ringing the bell. No one answered the phone. Finally someone from somewhere else came running to let us in. There were no staff on site. My room was nothing like the description and photos on the site. The room was 7x7 feet with a lumpy bed and only one overloaded outlet. The only furniture was the lumpy bed, which took up most of the room, and a table loaded with a power strip and a lot of cables. The light switch was near the door, so you had to get up from the bed to turn it on and off. The toilet bumped up against the door. There was no room to turn around. were no shelves at all in the bathroom. There was a huge old bottle of shampoo. They didn't even supply a full toilet paper roll. Some of the better rooms upstairs cost 20 percent less than mine because mine supposedly had a bathroom. The supposed city or garden "view" was of an alley. My credit card listed 9 charges of all different amounts. The "staff" person seemed totally confused and could not print out a list of charges from his laptop because, he said, he had no printer. When pressed about a hotel not having a printer, he said the printer was broken.

Muy limpio, bien obicado y cómodo, solo sugiero mejoren su recepción porque fue complicado el check. Tuve que marcar para que alguien me abriera y tardaron 10 minutos en recibirnos; todo ese tiempo estuvimos en la calle

First and foremost, the location is excellent! Close to the centre and in a safe street of Coyoacán. Communication with the host was on point and fast. Whereas the kitchen was well-equipped, the multiple bathrooms made it easy to have access whenever. Finally, the multiple gates made me feel very secure.

The shower facilities could be improved by installing a new shower head with more water pressure. The tank with drinkable water could be refilled more often.
