A wonderful place to stay, peaceful, great views and the owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. The whole place is off-grid, which is very impressive, and in no way compromises your stay. You can even get a delicious breakfast delivered to your room. Highly recommend this property and hope to stay again. Only point to bear in mind is that there’s no WiFi, which is actually a plus if you want to relax. I could get phone signal in the right spot!

Stunning views, exceptionally clean & cosy. Being off-grid in no way diminishes the accommodation, which is delightful. Lovely cakes!

It's a lovely place and convenient for the area we wanted to explore. We liked breakfast and talking to Karen.

We knew there was not going to be WiFi, which we would have much appreciated, but the Internet signal was poor and made it difficult to organise our affairs. The access road did require strong nerves but we were warned. The balcony which was a great space but it faced east and not warm enough in the eveningd.

Clean and smelt lovely. Amazing views from the balcony. Comfortable bed. Nice shower. Tasty healthy breakfast. Well looked after by hosts.

The location was stunning. The hosts very welcoming and engaging. The environmental ethos was exceptional and the whole place lived up to the name 'Sanctuary' It was a haven of rest in a very busy world, just what we needed to reset.

Everything about The Sanctuary and it's ethos was wonderful. Our comfortable, spacious and well appointed room had superb views over the river. We enjoyed chatting with our hosts Karen and Dave and other guests at breakfast and appreciated the delicious cake provided each afternoon. Well located for our visits to Fowey, the Eden Project and Charlestown and also on the Saint's Way Trail for those who enjoy walking. The Fisherman's Arms provided tasty food and a good range of drinks before heading back up the hill for a spot of star gazing and a peaceful night's sleep. We were sorry to leave and plan to return next year.

We had a wonderful stay with Karen and Dave at The Sanctuary, it exceeded our expectations in every way. The area is so beautiful, the accommodation is comfortable and attractive with the best views, and Karen and Dave are kind and so welcoming and helped us to have a really memorable break. We enjoyed learning about their rewilding project also, very inspiring! And the breakfast was delicious. Thank you so much!!
