"Great location, shabby hotel"

The breakfast was very disappointing. I had avocado and eggs on sourdough. It was lukewarm and soggy. we had dinner in the evening. It was okay, but nothing outstanding. I have emailed the hotel and given my feedback too

The hotel is scruffy, run down and is in need of a complete renovation

"Lovely relaxing break"

Our favourite destination for a relaxing break, never disappoints. Friendly, professional staff, large bedrooms with comfy beds, good choice of fresh food all very well presented. Lots of seating and this time we were lucky enough to sit outside in the sun both days. Plenty of parking. Great value too. What's not to like?!! Special mention for Adam in the bar who looked after us both evenings when we ate in the bar area, a real credit to the hotel. We'll be back!

"lovely Easter golf trip"

Excellent stay in the beautiful village of Thorpeness, right on the golf course and right next to the amazing boating lake.

I was a little concerned with the locks on the patio doors which seemed damaged and a little insecure although I had no problem at all.

"Fish finger Sandwich"

I recently visited the golf club and ordered a fish finger sandwich. To my disappointment, the sandwich only contained one fish finger in each side and was priced at a steep 11 pounds. I was not pleased with the portion size or the value for money. The taste was average at best. Overall, I left feeling disappointed with my experience and would not recommend this dish to others.

"Excellent"

Room was good , clean , spacious, with a great view. Good breakfast but dinner was disappointing. Average food , somewhat overpriced. Staff friendly and location excellent . Would stay there again but look to eat somewhere else in the evening.

The breakfast was good and the service.

The room we were in was really dated. Old pine furniture and bathroom with a loose valve on the shower and 70s suite.Small TV that was old.

"Brilliant golf break"

Excellent one night stay with golf on the Sunday and Monday. Staff in all departments were very professional and efficient. Course was in good condition. Dinner was superb, extensive menu, 5 star quality. Bedroom a bit tired, but clean and very comfortable bed. We all enjoyed watching the Masters final on Sunday night.
