good location, helpful reception staff

1. slow service at breakfast despite there not being a crowd. 2. staff had no idea the coffee pot at the self-service station was empty one morning at breakfast, resulting in a line of people having to wait a surprisingly long time for it to be refilled. 3. we were sitting at a table near the lobby entrance, having coffee and waiting for our food to be served one morning, and a man was laying a new/fresh piece of carpet/flooring from near the entrance towards the dining area. instead of unrolling the carpet/flooring, he flapped it down. result: dust in our faces and coffee.

Modern hotel, still felt brand-new in many ways. Liked the design touches for the most part throughout.

Just some subtle weird things - bathroom design had some funky decisions like confusing faucet design; weird double doors, wide lip on the edge of the room to trip on. Our duvet was wrapped in sheets instead of a formal cover; kind of strange. There's no sign that says Canopy on the back side of the hotel where the lobby is. And then there's only one little parking lot for 15 min load-ins. A bit annoying to have to park on the street or in a garage in such a small town.

The staff were not friendly. Room is tiny. Coffee cup was dirty.
