Great place, we showed up and all had a stomach bug. We were taken care of and even though we had to spend almost 2 days in/close to our room, it was amazing to go watch the monkeys and to be right in the jungle!

The garden is nice. Internet worked well. It was interesting to watch the monkeys that the owner is sheltering in their giant cages. She does a great job taking care of endangered animals.

Stuffy, darkish and run-down rooms. The fridge and the AC old and noisy, and with the average temperature in Palenque being very high, you cannot afford to turn them off. So it was quite difficult to have a good night sleep. The place is not easy to reach. Without a car, you have very limited choices to eat or get transportation.

Beautifully set in a jungle environment of the archeological zone. I loved hearing the howler monkeys, birds, insects.

Bugs everywhere, but also that is just me. Palenque is in the jungle, so there will be bugs everywhere. I am just too needy

Property in the jungle, you really feel the nature. Rescued monkeys live in the garden. Host was super friendly. Bed was comfortable but the pillow wasn’t (not for us at least). Perfect for 2-3 nights to visit Palenque.

No hot water for hand wash, very limited lighting in the room, sheets were not really comfortable for us, no hairdryer.

Amazing place a little bit far from the main road which translates to peace and calm at nights. They rescue and rehabilitate animals on site which is a beautiful mission, and stay in here is the way to support it. You can see the animals accompanied by an professional, they are so beautiful 😍 This is the most animal friendly place, you’ll see a lot of different species from cats to birds or monkeys.

Wonderfull place and Adriana is a great host.

Located right in the archaeological zone, it provides easy access to the ruins of Palenque and the town. Adriana, our host, was very responsive to messages and incredibly welcoming on arrival. The jungle location was pretty and listening the sounds of animals and birds at night was a lovely change to urban living. The shower was hot and the pressure strong! The breakfast was prepared with care and the scrambled eggs, some of the best I’ve had. Watching a baby monkey be bottle fed was special.

It didn’t bother me, but for guests that are shy of animals there are a number of dogs and cats that freely roam. They make for a nice welcome back to the property, but if you don’t like animals or are allergic, this may not be the place for you.
