The Devonshire Arms

The Devonshire arms was a lovely place to stay for the evening. The staff were great and very friendly. And the food was superb. We would stop here again.

The room had a half eaten chew stick on the floor when we got to the room . But that didn’t put us off was superb apart from that

Felt personal from our arrival, located in a picturesque village, everyone extremely friendly, room was really good and well appointed . Would recommend

Minor thing but no breakfast, available locally but not before 09.00

The room was large and very comfortable, with arm chairs, a variety of hot drink options and a bath. Check in was easy and the staff at the pub were friendly.

This is made clear and not the Devinshire’s fault, but there is no breakfast and we were encouraged to go to the cafe next door- the staff were unfriendly and the food was disappointing. There is a shop over the road that opens at 8 and sells coffee and snacks which was much nicer though.

Beautifully and tastefully decorated room, included everything you could want. Staff very friendly and helpful, very dog friendly. We also ate in the restaurant, food very good.

A really good stay, best inn/pub we’ve stayed. Food is delicious, service is excellent.

The only thing you can fault is the fact they dont have breakfast.

Room had great facilities and a good size bathroom with a fabulous shower .

Stayed during the summer heatwave and could have done with a fan and sheet as the room was very warm . Room was in general very clean but need to clear away cobwebs higher up .
