Botanico Hostel

the hostel is located in the historical neighbourhood of Candelaria and that makes it convenient to walk to many nice cafes and tourist attraction, it felt also quite safe! the room is nice and the whole hostel has a nice rural aesthetic. all services are available, shower is hot (not granted in colombia!) and they provide you with a heater in the room to warm up the space during colder stays.

Staff wasn't very talkative / helpful. Wi-fi in our double room was never working, even tho we mentioned it a couple times. We were staying in a sort of basement room, named Heliconia, where also 5G signal was weak, so it was quite a bummer to not have a functioning wifi, it left us without internet in the room (you wouldn't expect that in the citycenter of the country's capital!)

Personnel très sympa. Nous n’avions réservé qu’une nuit et ils nous ont trouvé une solution pour la seconde nuit mais dans une chambre pour les volontaires pas très confortable, bruyante , et les salles de bain ne sont pas très propres. Sinon super terrasse

The location & amenities were great. View from the patio was good. Beds were reasonably comfortable & the bedding was great.

I would have given a near perfect score if not for the poor luggage storage & room door that would not lock. The bag storage is cute, but effectively a set of drawers that's only adequate for important bag contents. 25% had broken latches & would not lock. Also, the only place to comfortably fill a water bottle was the kitchen sink, which was in use by the cook throughout the breakfast period. This doesn't seem reasonable. No lights in the bed area.
