The hotel is just on the beach, we could hear the waves in the morning. All was very clean, the room is comfortable, the staff were very nice. We liked the daily breakfast very much too!!!

I loved the people, since it’s a family led business they really go beyond on their service. Just 2 steps away from pristine white sand beach. Rooms are big and comfy. Coconuts are from their own trees. I love that they are animal lovers and care for some stray dogs. They are amiable. You can rent the scooters from there too. Location is far-ish from the bustle of Alona yet only 15 min away on a habal. 1000% recommended.

Wifi could be improve specially for remote workers yet, we worked without major issues.

D & B Bluestar Resort was exactly as advertised. Located right on the beach, the view is amazing. The rooms are very clean and the property well kept. My favorite thing though was the people. The owner actually cooked our made to order breakfast and the staff did their best to accommodate our every need. They helped arrange tours and transportation when we needed it, they offered laundry service, and they generally spent time getting to know us. I definitely recommend this location and will return myself if I’m ever lucky enough to travel the Philippines again!

Most of all, the owner/staff were outstanding, amazing humans. Whatever we needed, they took care of it, and provided us with so much extra info, extra help, extra local food and snacks to try. We felt like we had a Filipino mom. Definitely a highlight. The breakfast every day was prepared with so much love. The location is great as well, about 15 minutes away by tricycle from the famous Alona beach and all the tourism hustle bustle (in case you want to go island hopping or diving or want more international food), all while there is a perfect beautiful quiet white beach right in front of the resort. We liked our beach much more than Alona beach. The rooms were very thoroughly cleaned, perfect budget resort.

You will see a lot of locals which us great and still a peaceful area right in front of the beach. The owner was accommodating and treated us like family. Food is good. She cooked even extra for us. We really had a nice time there. Clean facilities and extra helpful staff.
