It was very nice especially the location was just fantastic you are right in front of a dream beach. a bit out of the way but nicer than in alona beach the owners make you eat and bring it to your room just perfect the only thing is that unfortunately there is no fridge in the room but that is luxury

lack of fridge in room to keep drinks etc cold. had a fridge in previous property that could be turned of from inside when not in use. never got my 1,000 peso deposit back on departure though …..but staff deserve a tip anyway 😊

Wonderful staff, great location, great, great value. Breakfast was super. The ladies there are so nice and accommodating. When you first show up here you will think, OMG what have I done?? But the place has everything you need... literally a few feet from the beach, homemade food made to order at incredibly low prices..

This is a great place. It is clean and well maintained. It is run by 2 lovely ladies: the owner and her young assistant. They were friendly, helpful, and just great hosts. We stayed in the deluxe beachfront room at first and then extended our stay in a "garden facing" room because the beach facing room was no longer available (my mistake was only reserving a few days at first to make sure I liked the room). The rooms were not huge, but they were large enough to not be cramped even with our large amount of baggage. They were lovely original paintings on the walls. The water pressure was a little low (water is a scarce resource on a small island), but the hot water worked great. Breakfast was good and well served on the lawn in front of the beach. Other food was available on request and what we had was very good. Fine dining (with great live music on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings) is available by walking about 15 minutes along the beach to Bohol Beach Club (they are quite busy- make a reservation). The beach had fine white sand. The hotel had hammocks, lawn chairs and loungers available for use on the beach or under the trees (for shade) in the lawn area. At high tide the water was only a few feet in front of the lawn. At low tide it was a bit of a walk to the water past some interesting sea critters and seaweed. It was clean of litter, but the natural tideline "stuff" was left intact (which may bother those who want a perfectly raked/swept beach, but I find the natural look more in character for a beachfront vacation). The once remote but now very busy and developed (McDonalds and Jolibee included) Alona beach was about 10 minutes away by tricycle, tuk-tuk, or a rented motorcycle (delivered to the hotel for 500P per day). If you want a clean, peaceful hotel with great service do not hesitate.

What didn't I like: The scented sheets in the second room (the sheets in the first room had no smell). An extra roll of TP would be nice. Leaving, I could have stayed another month. That's it.
