Lovely quiet little spot , still close to everything to be convenient. The people are amazing too, loved them all! Felt like home

A bit noisy as they were doing construction at the time and it was a bit far out of town.

Water is locked away at night, room is super outdated. Had to ask for towel and toilet paper. Soap is not provided at all?

Great value for money. The staff is helpful and kind. The accomodation had shelf space, hooks and free water.

The owners are very nice, we had a good time and stayed for a week No luxery but perfect for travellers we enjoyed our stay :)

Great location to go to Kuta and for surfing (scooter needed), sweet area with many homestays but still quiet! Nice familiy running the homestay, Johnny gave us a surf lesson which was very nice :) nice room with AC, overall really good value for money!

Roby Homestay was lovely with very friendly, helpful owners. I booked two nights but stayed for five, as loved the location. Fantastic views whilst having breakfast, over a field full of vegetation and cattle in front, with a rocky green outcrop by the sea in the far distance. I liked the feel of the place, as set in a kind of local community and felt like a true Indonesian experience. One of the few unspoilt areas left. The rooms are only basic but the bed was nice, with lovely clean cotton sheets, which is the main thing. It also felt very relaxing there. It was very convenient, as only a short walk to the beach and you could walk to many more if going left, including one with a very long headland, which could be accessed easily at low tide, if walking along the beach way. Would take an hour or so. Lovely views from the top if walking along the headland but also a very nice bay if walking down onto the beach afterwards. I was also able to get water refills for a small cost, which does save on throwing so much plastic away. But if you need to buy a large bottle they are 5,000 IDR, which is cheaper than a lot of places. Just a really nice place to stay

The only downside was that I was ripped off in Bangsai by a guy called Efull, He gave me the ­impression it was not easy to get shuttles and to book a private taxi. He was very persuasive and eventually agreed a price for a private taxi to Kuta, Lombok from Seggigi and then a private taxi back to Bangsai. However I did not get the private taxi and instead had a shuttle bus pick me up. I only just managed to squeeze in. When I later queried this with him, he said we had agreed shuttle but would be private car to pick me up. We hadn’t. Then when I wanted to be collected from Kuta, he said private taxi not possible and he was cooling. A car did pick me up and the driver said it was the shuttle, as collecting three other separate people. It was rather a squeeze in the back as only meant for two people. The middle one was sat over a gap. Basically I was put on a shuttle both times, which would have been much cheaper than a taxi but charged more than double the shuttle price. Do avoid EFULL TOUR & TRAVEL, as I am sure I am not the only one scammed by him. Also I do not like what they have done to Kuta, which I visited several years ago. It is as if they have torn the heart and sole out of it. They have ripped out little tree lined lanes, full of vegetation and local shacks and replaced with shadeless uninteresting roads. Kuta was unrecognisable, as homestays and warungs had simply gone and roads made wider. Too many big hotels and it has lost that local fishing town feel that it once had. Other than that my stay at Roby Homestay was great and I would definitely stay there again, if I come back to Lombok.
