It was a quiet location just off the main up and down old street, great balcony and view. Cute swing seat that my daughter liked. Comfy sofa bed.

The room was a bit basic - kind of like a painted cement box. The dining room smells rather musty and the entrance from the dining room to the main path to Old Street is damp, leafy, not maintained.

The boss is nice and friendly. And the location is just below the old street.

The cleanliness definitely needs to be improved, especially the small sofa in the room which is very dusty. The bathtub also needs to be repaired.

Location was fine. The guest house needs a good clean and tidying up - paint peeling, smelt a bit musty. Table on the balcony bent and useless. Chairs rusty. On the first day we waited until 9:30 for somebody to come to prepare breakfast, despite the sign saying it was available from8:30. The breakfast was tasty though. And the room was comfortable. We were disappointed at how much we had spent given the tired feel to the decor. Maybe it’s just comparable to other hostels in Juifen. It’s quite a niche place and all in all, not a bad stay.
