Aegean Sea Guest House

Booked the double room with a sea view. Rooms was clean and spacious, had a really nice mountain/sea view. Accommodation was close to the bus stop, which is around the corner from the police station/visit center, once you see the first set of stairs go up, which takes you to the back entrance to the guess house restaurant. The same set of stairs also takes you up to Jiufen old street, which makes it really convenient. Breakfast was nice, toast with ham and cheese and salad on the side. The owner was really friendly, gave me nice recommendation about places to visit.

Overall I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel and enjoyed my stay there! The hotel is right on the main road into Town, up some steep steps along the wall - if you are driving there yourself, there is no spot to pull over and check. But there is a dedicated car park a couple of meters past on the other side of the road, with a spot reserved just for you! Contact the hotel in advance and they will confirm where it is, to make it easier. The breakfast was simple but tasty and made with nice effort. The hotel is next to steps leading you to the main streets, so very easy to get to the attractions. The shower is simple but has a good pressure and it closes! (turns out not always standard in Taipei hotels…) The Mountain View is lovely, and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice breakfast, though not a buffet style where you could choose what to eat. The toast he made looked very nice but I don't eat meat so it wasn't for me. Wife liked it though, that's more important.

The room is clean, bathroom is with good pressure water for a nice warm shower. Location is superb, there is a side door which lead to the jiufen old street. Our room comes with a balcony, beautiful scenery right outside. Our room comes with breakfast and a cup of coffee or tea. Will sure return again.

No bidet provided. No separated wet and dry zone in bathroom.

Great place with excellent views of the mountains and sea. Favourite breakfast in my opinion, ham and cheese toasted thick bread with alfalfa sprouts, hard boiled egg and fruits nicely presented in a plate. Comes with coffee, tea or fruit juice.

Property is dated and probably needs refurbishment.
