Residence Inn by Marriott Oahu Kapolei

The stay was great, but they did reveal the $40 parking/ night!

The Hotel was nice, quiet, and clean. The pool was great and relaxing after all long day of sight seeing. During the evenings there were a few food trucks parked at the front of the hotel where you can grab a quick bite to eat if you don’t want to drive. There’s a Starbucks and Raising Canes next door.

The breakfast was excellent, staff friendly and very helpful.

Large room with all necessary facilities and good comfort level.

Small balcony which was not clean. Both the floor and outside chairs and table were dirty. Internet working for the first day so no Wi-Fi available. Subsequently charged a “data access fee” which was not disclosed when booking. Parking fees were higher than quoted when I booked. I mentioned this to the receptionist who said she would ensure we were only charged the “old” rate (30USD rather than 40 USD per night). The final bill was emailed to my after departure and we were charged 40 USD despite the promise. Very poor quality breakfast. Pleasant swimming pool but inundated with local children later in the day so became very busy and noisy. Very noisy location with VERY loud aircraft noise incessantly. Much noisier than Waikīkī. Overall a very disappointing experience with a higher than expected bill and broken promises.

far from Honolulu, rush-hour traffic can be bad. far from Honolulu, so easier to get to North Shore area.

Greedy to make money from a daily parking fee if $40 in an area that’s not busy and offers planet of space to park. Breakfast doesn’t change at all..we stayed for six nights and seven days and only change we say is from bagel to bread. After staying for that long, I asked for two hours late checkout but was ignored. They could better to accommodate families and their needs
