Dungarvon Street Apartments

Cosy property in a lovely area - everything was in walking distance. We had views of the mountains which is a bonus. There are also plenty of parking spaces along the road.

Lack of privacy, especially on the smaller bathroom when you open the window (needs to be opened for ventilation as there are no fans). Lack of essential cleaning tools (ie. no sponges, no paper towels, no tissues).

Very comfortable place to stay whilst visiting the area, great facilities including a bbq on the decking which we enjoyed.

Great accommodation and close to everything! The only downside was check-in was a drive away. I think having a lockbox for the key would be more convenient

Very clean, great location and very comfortable!

We had an upstairs lake facing apartment and loved the view, the veranda, sunrises, etc. the location is very convenient for walking into the center of town, along the lake, and arriving and departing Wanaka, except you have to backtrack to drop off keys. Silent at night, very comfortable beds and rooms, modern and nicely decorated. Large convenient refrigerator. Loved the space and view.

The apartment was advertised as two bedrooms and two en suites, which it has. However, one en suite is very tiny with a half sink and nowhere to put anything. The kitchen is well supplied with utensils, four coffee pods regardless of how many people or how long you are staying. The Weber grill we were excited about is not functional. Several things, like the clock on the wall, and one of the stove burners were not functional.

Easy walking distance into the centre

Not very soundproof. We could clearly hear all of the people in the apartment above.

Location is great, walking distance to restaurants, supermarkets and the lake.

*There’s only a small aircon in the lounge - the bedrooms are hot. One small window - not a lot of ventilation. A fan would be great. *The kitchen is the deal breaker. Badly supplied cooking equipment. 1 small pot and one small pan. *No milk for the first night/morning. *No amenities in the bathrooms except for soap and shampoo. *1 towel per person *The location of the microwave is a disaster waiting to happen. What’s most frustrating , is these inconveniences have been brought to their attention previously and as far back as September. I’d suggest taking on the board the reoccurring complaints/ suggestions and maybe addressing it. Alternatively you could’ve asked about our stay during checkout - but you didn’t.
