Casa María Resort

we liked the location and quietness.

We booked a 10 night stay and left after the first night. The location is bad, it’s right next to main highway, old windows and doors and no chance to sleep. There’s no front desk, a guy met us with a key and took to the room. There’s barely water coming out of the shower head, so forget about taking those. Kitchen is bare min., so is everything else. Taxis don’t come to it because they can’t find it. No access to the beach because a steep metal ladder was broken in half, and no beach really, at least not in front of the hotel, only rocks. You have to walk on the highway to get into town and there’s no shoulder to walk on. Scary place.

Beach was inaccessible… broken stairs and sharp rocks in the beach. It was too far from any restaurants or services. The pool wasn’t clean. We left early!

It was worth for the price I payed for that booking.

The room is huge and clean. Water pressures in shower is great. View from balcony is amazing. Parking is limited, but secure. There is a gate that is locked at night, so if you get back after 9pm you have to unlock and open the gate, not a big deal.

Nothing from the property stood out, except the colors.

My wife and i just got back home from a 2 week stay at casa maria resort in bucerias and the place is wonderful! Its close to the center of bucerias, we walked just about every day to centro. The staff will go out of there way too please you. Brandon was great! The room we stayed in was huge, 3rd floor ocean view. Would go back again, its only been open for a short time but we have no complaints. Thanks for the great vacation we had brandon, hope to see you again. Dan and mary

Casa Maria is a locally owned hotel with fantastic service, right on the beach, and 6 large rooms and 3 regular sized. The large rooms had a balcony, security safes, gas stove/oven, fridge, bottled water, microwave, coffee maker as well as king, queen, and a captains’ bed with 2 twin beds. The beds are very comfortable. There are phones for guests to call all over North Americans and free wifi. Television had English, Mexican tv and Netflix. The service was better than most 4-5 stars I have been in. Brandon and Kevin are attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable. All the staff are very pleasant and meet you with smiles. The breakfasts are not to be missed and include chillaques, rancheros, omelettes, scrambled eggs, fruit plates and freshly squeezed juice. It is very relaxing place. You are a walk from central Bucerias but older guests walked all the time. Taxi, Uber, bus and collective can also be taken to central. La Cruz with the Sunday market, marina and seafood off the boat is only 3km away. Brandon is especially helpful. We spent two weeks there. We moved to a “upscale” all inclusive in Puerto Vallarta for the third week. We missed the Casa on the ocean and will return. The hotel is new but already becoming popular.

Casa Marie is beautiful and the rooms have a gorgeous view. This is a family run place and they fix a delicious breakfast for you every morning. Brandon told us his family just purchased the hotel a few months ago and they have big plans to update it. The only downside is there is a big condo going in next to Casa Marie and their equipment has the small road going to the hotel torn up and frequently blocked. If you're looking for a nice place without the hyped up activities at the big resorts I recommend Casa Maria!
