Simple Life Motel

My room was very put dated. That was the least of the broblem . There was wet stains that were reddish orange on the sofa sleeper sheets . The beds were dirty had crumvs n legit a maroon wig hairs . Stains on the bedding

Good location and decent price

Bathroom was small and WiFi was terrible. Staff was ok

Nice room and in pretty good shape except for the balcony door (wasn't sealing properly until I adjusted) and the ripped screen to the balcony - left in a pesky fly. Comfortable bed & small but nice bathroom. All-in-all a good value for the location.

Horrible experience. Roaches in the hallway, loud scratching noise from the ceiling at 4 am, tried charging a $100 security deposit at check in but never said a word about it when making the reservation. The two women at the front desk were very nice, however everything else was horrible. Not worth the $225 we paid for one night.

Main door does not seal, floor was wet from rain when we entered. Bathroom smelled of rancid mildew, severely outdated, no storage space. Only one lamp/light in the room was working. Tv picture was awful with black line down the center. AC did not work (blowing but not cold) when arrived, reported issue and it was fixed. Floors were unswept, sheets wouldn’t stay on mattress, iron didn’t work.

This motel is part OC Resorts (OCResorts.com). So let’s start this review. The place isn't a 2.5 or 2 star motel let alone a one star motel. Room musty. Mold in in bathroom with brown water running from from the tub facet. Place is in major need of of a rehabilitation or better yet torn down and rebuilt. Staff was another story and to long to get into but be aware that if you request a different room based on your dissatisfaction or give the staff any problems or disagree with them they will use the exemption they have under the Maryland laws to evict you from the room and take your remaining room rental and security deposit. Did I mention that they charge a security deposit fee that they will grab if they evict you. So be prepared to dispute the charges with your credit card company. So if you are considering this motel or any properties in this group I would reconsider my selection and go elsewhere. Hope this helps.

The staff was great. Check in was easy. Provided me all the information needed to stay on property. The room was clean, but was lacking. Some of the outlets didn’t work. Thin blankets on bed and no fitted sheet. AC and TV worked great. All in all we were comfortable during our stay while visiting for a music festival.
