Clarion Hotel Oslo Airport

They have early bird breakfast starting 0500 which has a lot. Cost 22 nok if not included. Beds comfortable, sheets crisp, water temp and pressure are very good. Liked coffee machine and with no ice machines to be had, a very nice attendant got me a whole pitcher of ice! Shuttle bus is efficient, 80 nok per way. Buying rt no savings but saves time. Pretty smart system, overall. You can pay cash but they can’t make change. Any extra you can ask to leave for housekeeper. Dining looked oppressive, dark and not sure if you could even dine in. Better bet is the Beno Indian/pizza house right around the corner, huge pizza about 31 usd, and maybe best veggie briyani of all time! Amazed!

No aircon. Had to ask for a fan and one window was locked and could not be opened. The other could only crack open at top, not enough for airflow to cool well. Not sure about egress from there if required. No kettle in room nor available, but nice 24/7 coffee and tea in lobby, had to run down for that. The cavernous lobby is really dark and amplifies some loud music. There is construction ongoing so the floor landings’ floors were left unswept. Little things like door handles loose, missing screws, door frames needed paint. Overall, not problematic but attention to detail is lacking.

Hotel is very close to airport by shuttle-bus, very comfortable rooms, and some pleasant countryside to walk in. Reception staff were very polite. Good selection of food.

Restaurant is quite expensive, but that is typical of many places in Norway.
