Ramada by Wyndham Birmingham Airport

Other than the nice lady giving me a ride to the hotel, the experience was awful. My door didn't need a key to get in. You just turn the latch and walk right in. The towels were dirty. They had stains as though someone couldn't get the dirt off. The room looked as though it needed repair, and a fresh coat of paint. Travelers beware.

I am not one to give bad reviews, I can find the good in every situation or person. The expwith this hotel was a nightmare. The staff was rude and not accommodating. I had a situation with the hotel staff on Friday night, Feb 27th. Supposedly there was an issue with the staff member retrieving payment from Booking.com. I was told the payment was never received. I showed the staff member were the payment was received by the hotel, I was told they do not have payment and told I needed to call Booking to rectify the situation. I advised I would call to clarify, then I was given my room key. I left the hotel to get something to eat thne received a call from the staff they only received one night's payment and I needed to pay for the 2nd night booked. Once I was able to get back to the hotel, the staff member insisted I had not paid for my 2nd night. Instead of going back and forth I called Booking.com to get the situation straight and the staff member still insisted not paid for my 2nd night after the Booking.com agent advised the hotel had rec full payment from my stay. The Booking.com agent then advise to speak to the manager who did not answer. The Booking.com advise me he would take care of the situation and I did not owe the $88 the staff member was trying to collect. The Booking.com agent was able to address my situation. This hotel is old. The pictures on the website are deceiving, this hotel is not even close to the pictures shown. My toilet paper was held on the holder by a writing pen I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

This hotel was so bad I would give it zero stars if there was an option. First of all, they advertise that they have a restaurant and bar but they don’t. There is nothing. I arrived about 9:45PM after a very long day. No bar to get a glass of wine and no food. I had to drive out to buy a bottle of wine. they had a local restaurant that delivered food and it delivered chicken without a knife, only a fork. The cable TV did not work and the people at the front desk did not know how to work it. There was only one local station. No news at all. They have a mini fridge but nothing in it. They don’t have bottled water anywhere in the hotel. The room had one tiny roll of toilet paper, no tissues and the sink stopper did not work. There was no isle bucket in the room. And no phone to call the front desk. Light bulbs were burned out. The bed has dangerous pieces of metal sticking out on the end. The elevator jerked and the buttons did not light up. When I checked out, I asked them for the receipt and they could not give me one. And they would not tell me you much the bill was. The bathroom had no exhaust fan. In addition, there was airport noise, traffic noise all night long. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Bathroom need upgrade, especially the shower. It did not look clean.
