Villa Amatissima by Villa Porta Collection

The place is simply spectacular. An old villa, beautifully restored, large air conditioned apartments with a private waterfront balcony. The living room has a fully loaded kitchen with a Nespresso machine and a few pods and a (broken) filter coffee maker. Sufficient space for luggage, two TV one in the living room (the remote has no batteries, so you need to use the same remote as the one in the bedroom). The bedroom is spacious, the pillows are filled with synthetic rubber. The bed is large and comfortable. One of the electric outlet next to the bed is loose and not working. WiFi is good. Bathroom spacious and properly cooled when the weather is hot outside.

The property management company could do a much more professional job. My interaction with them was annoying and inefficient. Booking prides itself for fast and efficient interactions. I needed over 10 emails and three phone calls over two days to finally get into the apartment. 1. To start with the email listed on Booking kept returning with an error message indicating a new email address. They asked me for photos of passports which I supplied. But I ended up sending it multiple times until they confirmed. 2. A local tax of €5 that was supposed to have been included in the Booking charge using the credit card on file was collected separately, again adding unnecessary separate emails. The management asked me to supply a credit card number via an unsecured email!! 3. I was promised a secure link by the next morning to submit the credit card number, but the staff member (Maria) failed to send it to me even by 2:45 pm. I ended up having to call the property to finally submit the CC number of the phone. 4 We arrived at the property at 2:45 pm, still no instructions on the gate code or how to enter the property. I had to call the company again to provide me with a gate code. The code given to me on the phone was not working. Again, an additional phone call to the property, finally the second code opened the gate, and we were in. All of these issues were unnecessary annoyances, that a professional management company could have anticipated and avoided. A surprise for us was the driveway at 15-20% steep downward incline, a narrow driveway with a 180 degree turn to arrive at the villa. To navigate the driveway turn be prepared to maneuver a small car in tight spots. Coming out of the driveway is even more challenging. If you are driving a large car or have problems starting on a 20% incline, forget this place.

The area is beautiful. Apartement is well equipped. Bathroom is big and comfortable.

Apartement is for 6 people way too small. Only 1 double bed. Not mentioned on the booking. Sofa bed is very uncomfortable to sleep on. Price is too expensive.

Beautiful location on the lake side, private beach, very nice garden and terraces to sit outside. Well maintained. Good BBQ’s for each appartement

For us the biggest disadvantage of this property is that there is no walkway to the village. The village is actually pretty close, but to walk there you have to walk on the main road, which was pretty dangerous with the traffic. As other reviews say the drive way is a bit of a challenge, but manageable. Just take some time to assess when you drive in and out.

Close to the water so you could go swimming.

A little overpriced considering No Aircondition and plastic furnitures etc. But I guess prices for first row to the water are just High…

Location is great and is as seen on the pictures. You can swim in the lake and there are enough tables and benches around the property to sit and relax. Portable fire places for fires in the evening are a nice touch. Access: You don't meet the owners but punch in a code they give you to open the key-box. Driveway: It's tight but do-able (we have a medium sized SUV. Restaurants near-by are good, probably not in walking distance, but maybe SUP distance in the summer. :-) . Main road: The main road around the lake is above the house, which is typical for this area. The road is approx. 3 stories above the roof of the house and behind the trees. If the windows are open or you are outside you can hear the passing cars, we did not think it too loud or intrusive.

no issues. Mod cons are there, fridge and stove are new. Show and Toilets new, Pots and pans are new (we brought our own pan, but all pots and pans were new and useable).

Great location directly at the sea! So much potential.

We needed to cleanup for more than half an hour to not leave immediately. For more than 200 Euro a night that’s not acceptable and very disappointing. e.g: waste on the balcony, dirty bathroom (sink has smudges, shower calcified), bed with smudges, dirty kitchen, dirty windows. Additionally: no grill, no climate - but listed in the description. To be fair: After the complaint the landlord was very friendly and offered to clean up the next day. We declined as we already cleaned up. Additionally we only stayed for two nights, so this has not helped us. We received a small excuse-gift the next day (bottle Prosecco).

Absolutely fantastic localization - view from balcony hanging above the lake is just stunning. The rocky beach is great addition to the site. Overall expierience is superb.

The biggest issue is with the parking - the road is ultimately steep, curvy and narrow. My towing hook scratched the driveway and finally I had to unmount it together with bike rack to safely drive away. Parking with low suspension will break your car.
