D'Villa Guest House

The housekeeper was really sweet and friendly. The owner’s father as well. The outside room was nice.

Arriving was already difficult because our tuktuk driver could not find it and there was not a big sign so that we drove by twice in the dark. He needed to call the owner and get more instructions.The picture when booking the room was different and some years old and upon arrival we were given a room with twin beds which felt like a downgrade. The floor didn’t look clean and the wallls had stains. At night there was an ant road in our bathroom and we had two cockroaches in our room. Also we had to pay extra for our AC which came as a negative surprise. So we weren’t happy about staying here.

Prachtig, drukke stad. Je waant in een heel andere wereld. Je komt tot rust bij de questhouse.lekker zitje buiten. De eigenaar is vriendelijk.

De kamers waren niet echt schoon.

Der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. (Er organisierte mir ein Tuk Tuk driver um 3 Inseln zu erkunden. Die Tour war super!) Leider hatte ich die erste Nacht ein Zimmer nur mit Fan, was eigentlich ok ist. Aber dieser machte so laut, dass man nicht schlafen konnte. Das Bad war zudem sehr beengend und alt. Die zweite Nacht durfte ich zum Glück in ein anderes Zimmer wechseln und dort war alles tip top, auch das Bad neuer. Zimmer sind aber sehr einfach.

Fan im Zimmer 2 macht Lärm wie ein Traktor, da kommt man nicht zum schlafen .

For the price this was an OK place. More like a back packers really. Quiet safe area. OK air con and shower. Breakfast was very good ( extra cost) Nice sheltered out side sitting area

Nice staff and atmosphere.

The train is rushing close to it several times a day.

Dylan and Hilda were very nice, the breakfast made by Hilda was amazing, and the room and common area were very clean

Only one thing that I didn't see in reviews, the bed in my room consisted of a thin foam instead of a mattress, so I would keep that in mind. ut everything else was fantastic
