Grand Tamarind Lake

The breadth taking view of the lake seen through the lobby. The rooms were very clean, Specially I was surprised with the Bathroom cleanliness, I gained trust when the commodes were ribbon sealed after cleaning and sterilization.

There was nothing to not like, This will only be my forever trusted place for my stay when I visit Kataragama

The staff is very nice. The room we stayed in was very spacious and clean.

The washroom was not properly maintained/ cleaned. The water was leaking in the toilet and it smelled so bad even closing the washroom door was not helping. Disappointed with the stay due to this bad experience.

Breakfast was good with the usual dishes from a Sri Lankan hotel breakfast. Welcome drink at check in was appreciated. The staff overall were friendly and helpful. Close to the main religious area of Kataragama. EV charging available if needed.

The room itself was very basic and the bathroom had a very strong odour, which meant the room also smelled bad. All of the sheets had stains on them. Cupboard doors were falling apart.

We really enjoyed the peaceful setting by the lake and the beautiful, spacious garden where our family could relax. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. It was a great place to unwind and spend quality time together.
