Quality Suites St. Joseph

This is a good enough hotel if your looking to save a little money.The staff was friendly.Parking is good and plenty of places to eat around the area.The room has everything you need like a refrigerator, microwave, television,bed and chair.The room was clean but could have been a little bit better.The closet door was broken and almost fell off.The chair had stains and we didn't sit on it.The room definitely needs to be remodeled.The complimentary breakfast was very good and well stocked.It included eggs (2ways) sausage,bread, muffins, apples, cereal, coffee and juice.In all we were satisfied with our stay but we may not stay here again.Like I said ,its good enough if you are trying to save a little money.

Room was very damp. Carpet almost wet. Doors would not close properly. Probably swollen from all the humidity. Plenty of mold/mildew around. Place was very worn and badly in need of repair. Most outlets did not work. Building and common areas rather dungy and trashy. I don't believe there is any effort made to maintain this place. In addition to room charge they require a $100 deposit to cover any possible damage. What a joke as room was already worn out and damaged as far as I could tell. We stayed here years ago and had an okay stay. But never again. This place is now off my list.

I couldn’t even make it a night. I had a 3 night stay for business. There’s a reason it’s hands over fist cheaper than the other hotels in the area. Stained carpet and furniture, rust on the faucets and bath tub, I got to my room and it was fair. Wasn’t the best, wasn’t the worst I’ve stayed in. I fell asleep on the bed for maybe 30-45 minutes and woke up to a roach crawling on my arm. Killed it and looked at the room and 2 others were crawling on the walls. Do not sleep here. I’m scared from the nap I took that I could have bed bugs. It’s an old building, I get it. But roaches? That’s just gross. Don’t stay there. I’d rank this a ZERO if I could. STAY AWAY.

Dirty room and the hotel it's self was just gross. The carpet felt gross wouldn't walk around barefoot.

Not a great experience. The hall carpets were so filthy they made my friend's socks black. The room always smelled damp, and there was a gap that went all the way around our door, which we had to slam to shut. The pool & pool room hadn't been cleaned in a long time; and the complimentary hot water & coffee in the lobby wasn't hot. So many things wrong...it was a mistake booking this one.

Place is a dump. Pool has food moving around in the pool on the floor. Floors so filthy my socks turned black just walking to the room from the pool. No business center for customers to use. Gross. We were afraid to touch anything. Our door didn't fit so we had to slam it, and you could see the light from the hall peaking through the gaps. Black mold on the ceiling in the pool area and in our bathroom.

There is no quality here. On entering the lobby you will see a stained sofa. When you walk up the stairs you will see filth on the carpets. The carpeted floors are soiled and dirty. There were holes in the black out drapes. There was no toilet paper. The phone did not work.

My wife and I stayed at the Quality Inn located in Saint Joseph, MO for three nights from August 10th through August 13th. We came into town to attend a wedding. Our stay at the Inn was less than optimum. In fact, it was dreadful. First, the Inn is very dirty. The carpets and badly stained, the furniture in the lobby is badly stained, the whole place smells musty, the elevator needs to be serviced, there are wall plugs in the room that are pulling out of the wall (Very unsafe when plugging chargers and other accessories). After the first night, my wife (who is a cancer patient) could not sleep on the bed, so we requested a room change. She was told that it was not possible by the desk clerk. I went down later in the day, and a second desk clerk accommodated me. But you need to know that to find the clerk, she was in the parking lot vaping. The breakfast was just OK. It is not something that I could recommend to anyone. Here are the photos we took in and around the Inn (Room 227). It would be beneficial for you to put some money into the Inn. It was my home for three days, and I am a much better housekeeper.

The property is in dire need of a deep cleaning/refurbish for all areas. The carpet throughout the facility is so dirty it is slick. Same goes for the furniture. The pool deck was very dirty, the paint in the pool is peeling, the water was not heated and there is no hot tub as advertised. They didn't have enough bath towels in the entire motel to give extra towels for our family of four OR supply towels for the pool. The lobby bathrooms were closed/locked with signs on them that stated "For Employee Use Only". So if your room bathroom was in use or you needed the bathroom at the pool you were just out of luck. The hotel staff were indignant and rude about the lobby bathroom closure and refused to open it for use. They did not tidy the room up daily, restock coffee or take the trash. I would absolutely NOT recommend this motel.
