Courtyard by Marriott Detroit Pontiac/Auburn Hills

It's a good, affordable hotel. Awesome, helpful staff, comfortable beds, a nice pool, and a balcony! All kinds of good stuff. Overall, I was pretty satisfied. Despite the couple of complaints that I had, I'd stay here again.

My only complaints would be the location, and a couple issues with cleanliness. There was gunk in the bathroom, particularly around the shower and toilet, which was kinda gross, and there was some stuff behind the beds pillow headboard. The location wasn't anything special, but it wasn't necessarily bad. It was surrounded by factories, and other hotels, so don't count on being within walking distance, or less than a 10 minute drive away from, any sort of store or restaurant. It wasn't in a bad area, and it wasn't loud or anything, there just isn't much in the immediate vicinity.

Staff are very polite. Property is nice and rooms are cleaned as they should be. Although, when making the reservation the listing says the rooms are sound proof, false. You hear every sound in the two rooms on each side of you and you hear everything in the hallway. Rooms could be sound proof a little better.

I found it easily

Uncomfortable pillows. Understaffed. I was charged for two rooms and I had one. It took a couple of weeks to get my money back. I had to throw a fit to get it. I'll never stay with their chain again. Everyone passed the buck. Ridiculous. The desk clerk acted like it's not big deal. It was just a hold. Be over in a couple days.No. Don't believe them. I honestly think she used a room for someone on my money. She was rude about it like I was wrong to want my money back. Definitely done.

Let me preface by saying the staff was friendly, accommodating and professional. The room felt off, furniture was pushed in weird spots, the bed was crooked and there was an interesting smell. The room had no soap as well. The pool had no towels even though there was no one in it for over an hour, no one came by to check or replenish. I had to ask the staff for them. The "breakfast" is also misleading on the website. It is not complimentary and your better off going out for breakfast because of cost.

The staff was really friendly! The room was also really nice, and the welcome gift was too cute. Also, getting breakfast included was so worth it because it's from the restaurant.

Incredible staff very simple went very quickly. Very nice lobby clean room.

Tub was scaling apart, fridge was a freezer, fridge door was broke off and missing. Popcorn in the elevator for over 24hrs. Our wasn’t cleaned either night we stayed. Had to ask multiple times for towels.
