Cape Town Lodge Hotel

The location is great from travelling around Cape Town and the hotel is so clean and neat. The staff are super friendly. I have been visiting the hotel for the last 7 years.

The wifi was a bit slow at times.

Staff is always so serious I have never seen smiles..the only proper welcome we get is from the car parking attendant, ND the one lady at reception but the rest no go..

Accommodation was nice and location was great.

Upon check in , we were asked to pay a deposit. Cash or with card. They told us it would get refunded upon check out. I paid the deposit with card. However, when I checked out, they asked me to write down on paper my credit card details including card number, expiry date and cvv code. I've never seen this practice ever anywhere. This should NOT be required for a refund at all. It's exposing customers to scams. I have now emailed the finance department to get the refund but I'm still waiting to get refunded. It's unfortunate such practices have ruined an otherwise good experience.
