Days Inn by Wyndham Gainesville University

This place was like a motel from a nightmare, with people loitering, a musty smoke/ashtray smell, roaches, rusty appliances, stained walls, and greasy foggy windows. I can't believe this claims to be a Wyndham property! We walked in and immediately started calling other hotels. We left within 20 minutes.

Absolutely awful and for $180 really horrendous. My room was not clean there was brown sticky liquid all over the floor with bugs and dirt everywhere. The shower ceiling was falling apart there was so much mold. Guy working reception didn't know wifi password so there was no wifi. My room connected to another room with a 2 inch gap under the door so their dog and conversations etc were really loud. Strongly recommend not to stay here and if you do it's not worth more than $40 a night.

Coffee pot was missing parts and also they didn’t supply coffee went to the office and he gave me some coffee but they were in the correct packages. Plus I didn’t have enough parts to the coffee pot to make coffee. Bathroom is in repair in need of repair. No garbage can in the room at all.

Needs to be cleaned up

I hate giving bad reviews but I can't recommend this hotel, even to students coming to visit the campus. The one thing I will say is that I reserved two nights on hotels.com and when I got to the hotel late at night, I immediately requested a refund for the second night and they kindly granted my request. On another positive note, it's across the street to a couple of nice restaurants and a Subway is right next door

The staff member at checking and housekeeping were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, but I did not like that the non-smoking room smelt like smoke
