Property Notes

Fern Howe Guest House is a strictly nonsmoking and vaping property, to include all internal and external areas. Anyone found to have been smoking within their rooms will be charged a minimum £150 cleaning charge per room affected, and may be asked to leave. Please advise at time of booking of any dietary requirements. Breakfast is served via two seating times of 7.45am and 8.15am Fern Howe Guest House operates on a self check-in basis. As depicted in the photos, the Single Mountain (Fell) View Room; the Family Mountain (Fell) and Garden View Suite; and the Twin Mountain (Fell) and Garden View Room all have some areas with reduced ceiling height, due to their location on the top floor of the building.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties. A deposit may be required at the property.

The breakfast and the friendly host Closeby restaurants that were both good.

The long pre-registration form (one for each guest) that asked way too many questions that were unnecessary based on other hotels/B&B's in the pst 2 months of my UK travels.

The room was really clean with a mini fridge. The were plenty of milk, tea & coffee. There was a drying room that really helpful if you went out in the wet. There was also a parling space per room

"Lovely Quite with Beautiful Mountain View."

Ultra Clean and efficient self check in system. Everything you’d want is provided. The free afternoon cakes was a lovely touch. All consumables were locally sourced, which is fantastic.

Top most floor has sloped roof, so half the room isn’t usable. But for solo travellers it’s more than sufficient.

Great breakfast. Quiet location but close to some great walks and shop/pub/restaurant. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed and nicely decorated room with great views of the fells. Lovely Cake. Fridge.

Breakfast excellent. Great range of teas/coffees in room. Fridge in room excellent. Lovely shower. Bed comfortable. Decor and cleanliness great. Afternoon cake a nice touch.
