Travelodge by Wyndham Escanaba

Room was clean and easily assessable for 50+ guests. Only has a shade on the bottom floor rooms so privacy or using the lights were an issue. Only muffins and donuts for breakfast.

The staff and location was great

The air conditioner would not blow any cold air. The place was very dated.

The shower had lukewarm water. The toilet and sink in the bathroom were very low.

Never cleaned under the beds, and I mean never. Hair built up in shower drain, missing cover, domino effect. Unknown pill found in the middle of the floor, no acknowledgement from staff.

Overpriced for the condition of the room. The room was small. The AC was not working well. The window screen was ajar and had holes in it. The bed was small. The hall smelled strongly of air freshener. The TV was difficult to operate. Would not stay again.

Everything was clean. The room was cool when I entered. Everything "worked".

When I checked in there was no one at the desk and had to call to get someone there. As I went around outside to the side door to get to my room the outside door was not locked or even latched. My room was in the second floor but the stairs looked like they had not been cleaned in quite some time with trash in the corners. Our room appeared clean at first but the floors were definitely not vacuumed since I found a quarter right next to the bed. Remote for tv did not work ( property knows this since their “how to use remote” description says sorry the remote doesn’t work as the first thing on the paper. Bathroom had hair all over the floor from previous guests. Would not recommend breakfast. If you saw a mouse trap in the kitchen right by the food and the state of unclean I don’t think you would want to eat there either. A bed to sleep on and not much more.
