Overall our stay was exceptable, We booked 1 room online, and another when we arrived, we were charged a higher price for the room booked at the hotel, The online descriptions shows a pool, once we arrived we discovered pool was not in working order, which was one of my reasons for choosing the hotel, we were disappointed with this. The hotel extended our check out time at our request, which was a plus, the staff was friendly.

Room smells terrible! Carpet and chair are dirty. Wallpaper torn. Staff was rude. Bathroom not clean...so we didn't shower. Toilet dirty. oh, they have a pool...empty... we were very tired of driving and it was late so we got a little sleep and left.

please choose another hotel, this place is just totally disgusting, first the drape hooks were broken and wouldn't attach to the rod, the wallpaper trim around the entire room was peeling on both the top and bottom, the pillows were terrible, there was all kinda black stuff that had been deposited on to the wall and the ceiling and they didn't bother to clean it off, there was black stuff deposited all around the edges of the black springs, if you don't smoke don't stay at this hotel there are no non smoking rooms only rooms that people have smoked in and they treated horribly.

We chose this hotel because it was inexpensive for a one night stay on our way through the area. Although the motel seemed to be in a safe area, it was old, run-down and dirty. Even the office was dirty and the coffee available in the office the next morning was the worst we have ever had!!!! Do NOT stay here - pay the few extra bucks and go somewhere better.

I stayed here for a getaway with my little boy for one night and boy am I glad it was only one night. The carpeting hadn't been vacuumed and there was so much stuff under the bed. Wrappers, chapstick etc. The bath tub had so much grime and the bathroom door had a huge crack in it. The beds were uncomfortable as all get out and the pillows were pretty much non existent. I had to use three to even feel like I had a pillow at all. I wouldn't ever stay here again, and the 67 dollars was way too much for this room.

Cheap motel in the middle of nowhere, but only 30 minutes to downtown St. Louis (over the bridge). Security may be a cause for concern for some. Guy in front of me was allowed to check in with no ID (he produced an electric bill with his cousin's name on it?!?). I was woken up at 8:00 by police going door-to-door looking for a guest. They asked me when I had arrived and how long I was planning to stay. I don't know why the manager wasn't able to tell them which room this person was in. Nevertheless the room was clean and cheap and I'd stay there again if I needed to be in the area.

Very dirty TV didn't work owner would not acomadate us with a different room. beds stained and smelly owner walks around in filthy cloths and smells.ask for help said he wasn't r slave and I will not go there again

This place doesn't even deserve a rating of one. They tried to warm up my room with a space heater (code violation of fire dept) Wanted me to pay xxx dollars for the 4 hours I was registered there waiting for room to warm up. Sp;ent 4 hours on phone with Expedia (Expedia employees hung up 5 times when I tried to call). I told Visa I would not pay this non-cancellable bill as they did not perform up to minimum standards for any hotel anywhere. Managers are nice but they cant make a dump into anything reasonable no matter what.

This is a quaint aging hotel that on the outside is reminiscent of the sixties/seventies. A bit worn but the rooms were clean and ordered and very well stocked with towels and amenities. While the main staff was rare and the front desk was unattended most of the time what people we met were very friendly and gave the place a very "down home" feel. If you are looking for cutting edge or flashy then go pay extra elsewhere. If you want a comfortable room at a reasonable rate this is the place to stay.
